Just heard from the Tweeter and they emphatically stated lots open @ 5:00PM - and no alcohol allowed in the parking lot this year - violarors will be subject to arrest. Guess this was due to all the trouble in previous years. A chosen few have ruined it for everyone!!!!

That SUCKS!!!
Yyaaarrrggh,

The pirate just read what is going on in this forum...

Hey Sy & BJW,

The pirate is a little worried about the state of affairs with parking and alcohol.

This simply can not be true!!

I will call Tweeter management this morning and find out the real word!!

Gypsie Girl and I own a photojournalism business and are at the Tweeter shooting concerts (when we are not sailing under the stars on the water)

I'll find out between 9amnd 10am this morning.

I think Tweeter is just trying to keep some newbies from planning a huge drunkfest at the show.

All of us long time JB fans and BNers know that it comes down to how a pirate or gypsie conducts him or herself at the show, whether outside tailgating or inside enjoying JB.

Alcohol should be concealed in a cup, but I have never seen the police hassle anyone having a good time properly.

As for the parking........

That leaves the pirate concerned!!!!

Where would we all go for 4-6 hours???????????

I agree, and worst comes to worst, I'm sure we can all head back to the Crown Plaza and do it up there. We'll have enough people to still make it an awesome time. And don't worry FFG, we'll give you and your crew a ride if that happens...you still gotta make it across the river though!

I got a fun ticket!!! I'll be there. We'll find you guys for sure.

I think I might soak a watermellon for this year's event!!!!

See you all in 6 days!

I wouldn't worry about the parking lot situation. Camden makes some good coin when Buffett comes to town. They won't ruin a good thing.

The Dave Cave is now open!!!

I'll have to catch up with you in the lot as I'll be getting a late start this year. No bus to coordinate so I'll be ready to roll! I think I still have your number.

And don't forget to PM me your info for the cell phone list: email, BN name, real first name, cell number, and whether or not you're meeting at the Crown Plazy.

OK ALL YOU PARROTHEADS, HERE IS THE WORD!!!!

AS OF 10:00am, Wednesday 7/26/06.........

The NJ Parking Authority is "in charge" of ALL parking at the Tweeter.

They actually sub-contract through Central Parking in Philly.

I called my buddy at the Tweeter who is Director of Operations.

I also called the Camden PD and my buddy who is PR manager for the Riversharks.

The JB concert is an 8:00pm show.

The doors open at 6:30pm.

The Camden PD is only in charge of keeping the peace.

NJ Parking Authority and Tweeter confirm a 4:00pm lot opening time.

My buddy with the Riversharks told me that although they only own one parking lot......it should be open inbetween noon and 2:00pm.

Hope that puts some of us at rest.

There should be no problem with parking after noon-ish.

I very much doubt that we could tailgate at the Crowne in Cherry Hill.

Hilton manangement would probably call Cherry Hill PD to remove us from the property.

Mick,

Your pirate talk confuses me  ... Are you saying that the River Shark stadium lots should be open sometime between noon and 2?

Hey Puckhead, sorry if you are confused.

I'm a little confused too.

But yes, that is what I have gathered as an understanding as of 10:00am.

The Tweeter parking lots may not open until 4:00pm........

But the one parking lot in front of Rivershark Stadium should open inbetween noon and 2:00pm.

If I can't get in the River Shark lot, I will convert one of Camden's many crackhouses into a beach house. Party at the crack house!

The past few years, that has been the lot that opens first. Last two Camden show, the Riversharks have had a game that day so the only opened half the lot. No game this year so we should get the whole lot.

Whole lot of what? :pirate:

My house is only about 10-15 minutes away, hmmmm.

I'm still not remotely worried. But then again, I was planning on getting there between 11:30 and noon which fits in perfectly with the lot opening.
