Two years ago, I pulled up to a lot and was told it didn't open until 4pm (this was at 2pm). I pulled around the block once and as I came around the lot opened at 2:03pm.

So don't believe the "official" word.
And if I'm not mistaken, wasn't something like this posted just before the Philly concert last year? I just remember a thread and an uproar over parking lot times/booze.

I seem to remember these "fears" every year before a concert about lot opening time and it never has been a problem before. Hopefully the luck will continue

Yyaaarrrggh :pirate:

Tis true, there is usually much talk about lot openings when JB comes to Philly/Camden.

But last year was very different as JB was the first entertainer to play a concert at Citizens Bank Park in Philly.

Different side of the river.

Different venue.

Different parking lots.

Different parking staff.

Don't worry it will be a perfect day!!!!! :pirate:

Certainly gave me a good giggle

Course that was also from imagining all of us standing inside some dilapidated crack house trying not to fall through the floor

Yyaaarrrggh :pirate:

There simply must be a better alternative than crackhouse.

How about the Camden prison parking lot?

Seriously though, how about Cooper River Park?

That is IF they hold to a 4:00pm lot opening.

I'm waiting to hear back from Lt. Haddon of the CPD for OFFICIAL word.

For now, I gotta get some work done............

It's not easy being a pirate 200 years too late!!! :pirate:

It's not dilapidated, it's a fixer-upper. And I'll try to have the floor rixed in time for y'all's arrival.

So I finally got a call back from the Camden Parking Authority and the lady told me that they own the lots but subcontract out running them, hence the yellow jacket people. So I asked for the subcontractors name, its Central Parking, went to their website, called Philly Office, nice lady gave me the person in charge of the Tweeter lots contract, called him and left a message. Hopefully I hear back soon.

I'd bet my tickets that the lots will be open at noon, at the latest.

Monday Night HH

Is anyone interested in meeting up on Monday night for a little pre concert Happy Hour?

I'm thinking somewhere in center city, that way people can take the regional rails and not have to worry about driving much (or driving in the city period).

Sounds like Mon and I are game so far. FlipFlopGirl, I know you mentioned you and your friend are going to be in town on Monday. Anyone else?

I'm over near reading, if it's not too too far, I'd be game.

About 9 years ago I did the night before the Buffett show at what was then The Waterfront in Sommers Point. Peter Mayer and Scott Kirby played. It was great!
