Don't remind me. Standing in the torrential downpour holding up the crappy tent I had before it blew down or away...that was loads of fun.
Needless to say, the tent got retired and I bought a new one.
and yeah, there was thunder...I don't remember any lightning though.

No Rain will top Steve Miller Band last year...
Never in my life have I seen rain pouring down, blowing in all directions at once, and the biggest thunder and lightning storm ever start 4 songs into the Steve Miller Band concert last August - whole show canceled, no refunds. Drove 2 hours on a bus with 40 phriends to see him.
Redemption came when it turned into a gorgeous night an hour or so later, and an impressive fireworks show started. All of us where drenched, head to toe, covered in mud yet sitting on a bridge over the lehigh river watching great fireworks made it all worth it.
I can handle a little rain at buffett, as long as they don't cancel it b/c of lightning, I'm fine with a little rain!

Hi everybody!!!
I remember last year on Saturday at CBP!!!!
There was a torrential downpour.....
It was kinda funny watching all the landsharks run for cover as the wind kicked up and started blowing all of us and all of our toys around the parking lot.
It wasn't enough to put out our spirits or our grills!!!
We all got soaked, but then the skies cleared, we were all still pickled and the show was awesome!!!!!!!
It will be very hot on 8/1/06!!!
Our favorite pirate has been following the weather and parking situation very closely.....
Can't wait for everybody to try this years's batch of Jell-O!!!
And a 2006 batch of "Secret Pirate's Grog"!!!
It is wicked, I've had some and it kinda shuts off your liver for a short time.
One cup of grog is equal to drinking 2 beers and a shot of tequila in the sunlight.
Even if there is a little rain, which the pirate says is not going to happen, I'm positive that it will be a great day!!!
FINS UP!!!!

Ok, back onto the parking a little bit.
First off, let me commend both Central Parking as well as the Camden Parking Authority for both returning my calls, I didn't expect I'd hear from either of them.
I spoke to a guy named Jason at Central Parking. He said, starting at 8 am, CPD is going to have a squad car parked at each of the parking lots and they will move when they are ready (which is 4 pm as it stands). So I said "so basically when 5K cars cause a hugh traffic jam in Camden, they'll be forced to open the lots?" to which he responded "well, its Camden PD's call when to open". I also said, "so you guys will be there from 8 am on and will open when they move their police cars?" To that he responded No, their employees aren't planning to get to the lots until between 12 and 2.
So, as it stands, it looks like they'll be ready to open at noon, as soon as the camden PD gives the ok.
Mick: Can you confirm with the CPD Lt phriend that is what their hearing at the precinct?
It sounds like the Police are really running the show in this instance so I think CPD has the final say so and hopefully Mick will be able to get us that.
