Just to keep the thread going.....We're making the trip from Vancouver Island and our first time to Boston. We're hoping some of our phriends would be able to help with accomodation and transportation ideas. We have a couple of rooms booked at the Holiday Inn on Hampshire. Any hotel ideas for a parrot phriendly hotel in Boston and how do we get between Boston and Mansfield if we're not renting a car. And of course, how do we get tickets for the game on the 11th? I hear some of the gates open at GW at 9:30am just for JB, is that right?
Hope to meet some of you on 8/10!

I don't know much about hotels in Boston, but it's a long haul to Mansfield (Tweeter Center/Great Woods). The only reason to stay in Boston is if you want to do some sightseeing, etc around the show.CdnParrothead wrote:Just to keep the thread going.....We're making the trip from Vancouver Island and our first time to Boston. There's no public transportation to Mansfield, so you're going to have to rent a car.
The gates open early, yes! Maybe not until 10:00, but early.
Red Sox tickets?? HAHAHAHAHAHA. It'd be easier and cheaper to find a couple of 10th row center Buffett tickets.....

The Midtown is pretty reasonable......you can walk to pretty much everywhere......and the subway is right there to. I usually stay there!!,,,if you want to spent some money....The Park Plaza , Lennox, The Edison , Mariotte Long Warf are all real nice!!CdnParrothead wrote:Just to keep the thread going.....We're making the trip from Vancouver Island and our first time to Boston. If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

The bleachers can definitely be fun. I'm not sure where my tickets are to that game. I'm going to like 8 or 9 games this year. Hard to keep track. I'm pretty sure I'm in the bleachers!! Gotta love it!Finsupinfla wrote:habourgirl wrote:I'll be at the game on the 11th.... that's going to be a great weekend!!!CdnParrothead wrote:Just to keep the thread going.....We're making the trip from Vancouver Island and our first time to Boston. I love Fenway Paaahhhk.... And if you need a tour guide, let me know. I'll be showing some other friends from Cali around on Friday. I used to live there. I used to be a bartender at a great bar around Government Center called "The Rack" - no it wasn't a strip club. It was a pool bar.Finsupinfla wrote:habourgirl wrote:The bleachers can definitely be fun. I'm not sure where my tickets are to that game. I'm going to like 8 or 9 games this year. Hard to keep track.
