Soraya, we also got the parking passes. Our group sets up a tiki bar, complete with margaritas for everyone while they last. Maybe we'll see you and your keet there!
I hope so! I'd like to get the chance to meet quite few folks from here. Not sure what we are bringing....but I am sure we'll do something.....small...but something.

Ride to show

Post by Caribbean Dreamin »

Tickets just came in the mail!!! woo hoo!! Wish I had a few more, but what's a girl to do?

For anyone interested, I own a limousine company in Charlotte, www.giantlimos.com

I have already rented my stretch Hummers for the concert, but I still have a 12 passenger 2004 Stretch limo that's dying join the fun. Get as blotto as u want... I'll make sure you make it back to your house or hotel ok. Limousine parking's right in front of the main gates. I'm going to call the amphitheatre on Monday and see what time they'll let the limos in, and possibly offer a bribe of some sort (I'm going to be one of the drunks rolling in on June 4th). Anyway, $100/hr includes your tip for the car if anyone's interested, AND my group will be there with free margaritas and shots (at least until I run out). Call me if you want more info 800-758-9119.

Hope to see some of you at the show!! I'm ridiculously excited! June 4th...HURRY UP!

An enthusiastic keet! Don't you just love it? You raised her right. I've taken each of my keets and their girlfriends to concerts. The girlfriends were surprised the guys knew all the songs, but then they were raised on listening to Jimmy. I can't wait for June to get here! Waiting on our parking passes too.

Ours just came today. That isn't bad at all. Now we just have to see what plans are going to form!

Nothing new for anyone for the Charlotte show? Anything? Tailgate plans? Venue news? Hotel information?

Charlotte show

Post by cocotel »

Hello everyone Cocotel here.
Scored two tickets from a co-worker who can't make the show.
The wife can't go because of her bone marrow transplant this month.
We spent yesterday at UNC trying to get the docs to say "sure" you'll be able to make it. All we got was a blah, blah about wait until the August show. She's bummed but is looking forward to Great Woods in August.
So I will indoctrinate my best friend Dennis who is new to the madness but at 53 definitely still has a school boy heart.
Hope to meet many of y'all there!!!! :D
Any new info on when the gates will open? :-?

We'll be staying at the Fairfield Inn. Anyone out that way?

I emailed a friend who belongs to the Charlotte club to see if they decided anything at their meeting this week. I'll let you know if I hear anything. I've been wondering what they've planned too.

Looking forward to meeting up with many of this PHLOCK.
Debating on wheter or not to get a parking pass.
Any thoughts on that?
Any benefits?
Have not been to Verizon for a concert and was wondering what the layout was for pre-concert gatherings in the lot.

Everyone I've talked to around work (not many Phans though) says that in general the pass is worth it to get into the parking lot at all...there is a faster line that parking passes can go to to get into the venue. (That was for all sorts of shows.)

Last anyone heard that the major tailgate will be in that area as well....but who knows as the word has been very low key (compared to some of the other venue's tailgating threads around here! I am a bit jealous!)

In other news.....found our inflateable palm tree (left over from a birthday party years ago)....at least we will have some decorating effort!

Got an email from my friend in the Charlotte club. They are having a planning meeting next Tuesday night. The only other thing she mentioned was the club has its parking area staked out for tailgating and that the gates will open at 12!

I don't post a lot, but I do lurk a lot on here. I would love to meet some of you. If you happen to see a tiki bar with two big margarita glasses filled with ice and margarita pump balls filled with margaritas, that will be us!

12 would be a welcome time for them to open the lot!
From earlier threads it had looked as if they would wait until 6 but 12 is a welcome time!
Parking pass ordered April 7!! :D
See you there!! :D
