noon is a great time, but we have to check in to the hotel. Hopefully we'll be there between 1 and 2? Gotta see when check in is!

Gotta get out that grass skirt!!
Goin' where the weather suits my clothes...
Just tradin' in buffalo chips for microchips
Looking for gingerbread, man

Ok, so I've never tailgated before 2:30. My sister reminded me that we'd have to pace ourselves with the gate opening at 12. Anyone know anything about pacing? Exactly how do you pace yourself at a Buffett concert? Any suggestions  ?

Drink plenty of WATER. It helps keep you hydrated.

We're just happy that we get to grill lunch and supper. And with 8 hours of Tail-gaiting, no need to tap the retirement fund to drink inside the concert.

Charlotte PreConcert info

Post by tuffbailey »

A lot of you have been asking what's going on in Charlotte concert day. Well I have news for you.

The day before June 3rd (Pre preConcert Party) is going to be at a place called Boardwalk Billy's. It is in the University area of Charlotte on N. Tryon St. I am not sure of the entertainment but we will have something i'm sure.

The day of the Concert June 4th the gates will open at 3pm you can tailgate there if i am not mistaken. The Charlotte club will have a section and all are welcome to come and hang.

I will try to keep you all posted when the club knows more about what we are going to do.

That may be a question for the ages. Or.....we will know when it happens? The venue isn't going to confirm anything for a bit I would guess.

3pm is still not bad....

If you haven't tailgated for over 8 hours in your life, then you are truley missing out on a great time with friends and family...we have arrived at 8am for an 7:30pm football game several times...and at noon for the Raleigh July 4th Buffet show several years back.

Pace yourself, but most importantly, don't run out of anything you need...cause you can't leave to go get more!

Parking Pass

Post by parrotnole »

I was at the last Buffett concert at VZ and was involved with overtaking the back of the movie theater lot until the lots opened up. I am taking my mom and my grandmother to this concert - they have been bugging me for a few years to take them. So we get to induct some additional 'Buffett Virgins'. :) They are aware of the grass skirt requirement. hehehe
Is it confirmed about the gates opening at 12? Also, how do I go about getting one of the parking passes? I went on ticketmaster and do not see them. Are they really worth it? I'm not on here much, but do poke my nose in every once in a while. Can't wait for June!

Parking passes

Post by cocotel »

hey there parrtnole!!
Cocotel here.
I had to call 704-522-6500 to get my pass.
Yes it is worth it!!
From reading previous posts here looks like a few from BN already have parking passes and are planning on hooking up in the lot.
It's worth the $22.05!!
Look forward to seeing you there!! :D

That doesn't seem to be information most of us are getting, both when calling the venue and other sources. Where did you hear this?
