They finally committed to something? Noon is a bit early for me to be honest....lol....but I am thinking 3ish sounds about right.

Only 48 days or 1152 hours or 69,120 minutes or 4,147,200 seconds !!!!

I'd put the count down in my sig file, but the JB quote barely fits as it is due to the charecter limits.

When it gets a bit closer all the BN'ers that want to meet up are going to have come up with someway to recognize each other....or a phone list etc etc....

phone list

A phone list sounds like a great plan.
Cell for me.
How many out there have premier parking passes?

We have a pass, and there are four of us. Figured I mortgaged the house on the tix, rooms, etc for the trip already, why not another 22.50!!! :o

I'd pay it again, too :D

We'll be there early, coming in Sat night!

I think a cell phone list is a good idea.

I have family that lives in Charlotte so we are planning on getting to town Friday night and leaving on Monday. Tuesday at work is going to be a long day.

We have 2 parking passes and planning to have a group of 10 to 12 people ready to party no matter what time the gates open.

I know this concert is a ways off but does it strike anyone else strange that we are still trying to get a definitive time that the premier pass lots will open? Cocotel has the closest thing to confirmation but it sounded like the Verizon folks qualified it with "as of right now" which implies it is subject to change.

I guess I can't really show up until after room check-in at the hotel but it sure helps with the planning to know when to show up.

anyway, not complaining. At least we got an outdoor Carolina show this year and I've got my tix in hand 8)
you can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning 8)

Noon too early? :o
People were tail-gating by 10am last year in Columbia. I had to meet up with friends and didn't get my first Corona till 11am

Too early for me...with a 'keet....though she's all primed to camp out and watch the silly human tricks all afternoon.

I just haven't decieded to take my old pickup truck with an umbrella in the back or the newer Liberty.

We normally don't use the truck for longer trips, but Ron would have to take it to go to fishing on the coast while we are gone.......sigh.....such choices!!

I agree, noon isn't too early, remember, it's five o'clock somewhere! :) Though I don't think our whole group will be out there that early.... My mom and nana might not be able to hang with the 'keets all day! ;) I am good with a phone list. I'll send a note out to the rest of the crowd about parking passes so we can party w the rest of the crowd. As much as I hate to rush time, with work as crazy as it has been, I love the countdown. :)

FINS UP!

Is anyone a member of the Charlotte PHC? I am thinking of checking it out.. wasn't sure who else is out there. Though I am going to be out of town for the May meeting....

"I was talking to my friend Dana the other day, she runs the sea freight forwarder down in Charlotte...she was saying that Parrotheads are flawed individuals." :D

Okay...enough of that.....

But I was speaking with Dana who works with one of the international freight companies that I use in my job. I am up north of Raleigh and she's down in Charlotte, and I mentioned that I had never been down there to her city, but would be in June to see JB.

Silence on the other end.

"You're one of those 'parrotheads'??" She said Parrotthead like a curse word.

Turns out she was a bartender for several years at a certain hotel in the area and every show for several years they were 'phlocked'. She doesn't have good memories of this.....bad behavior and rotten tips, working double shifts.....though she said the naked guy that was running around for two days and nights until finally cornered by four cops in the stairwell and almost got away anyway was interesting.

Since we are all going to share in good cheer, get a little crazy (so we don't go insane the rest of the time) and basically party with a great show as a backdrop...I'd like to ask, as a former bartender myself, all of us to remember our bartenders and waitresses, not give them a hard time just because they are on the other side of the bar and tip them well according to their service. .....99% of them are going to be doing their best and lets face, all those frozen drinks s*ck saggy bartender tits to make (unless they have a machine...and not every place does.)

If they weren't there, it wouldn't be half as much fun for us.

Okay....off my soapbox. :wench:

I would like to congratulate Soraya on making it to 500 postings.
I would also like to recognize her last thread about bartenders and how we as a phlock need to thank them for their service to the cause.

In regards to the phone list, I nominate Soraya to lead this part of our journey. She has offered to collect the numbers and has started a list of confirmed attendees.

Anybody agree or disagree???
