I have been lingering on here almost everyday, so I thought I would join in on the PHUN!
Thank You to everyone on the updates about when gates are opening.

My husband and I have been Parrotheads for years.
We have tickets in hands and Premier Parking Passes......We are bringing some virgins with us.
We haven't been able to attend "The Grand Event" in about 3-4 years, due to the 'keet. So we are really excited!!
We look forward to tailgating with all of you!!
PHINS UP!!!

Good afternoon all!!
Just got home from day one of a two day meeting.
Need me some BN!! :D Well, and a Corona. :D
It's great to see such a great response to our plans to gather before the show.
I am by no means a computer guru but would love to help put together a phone list.
I personally feel more comfortable if we PM our cell #'s to one person rather than on this thread. Do you agree?

The phone list is fine with me anyway you want to do it. I'm in. I have a premier parking pass, bringing one virgin and my 2 grown keets and can't wait to meet up with other BNer's.

Noon is a little early for us. Will have to check in at hotel first. Both daughters are on medication that makes them sun burn easily so we won't be able to hang out much in the sun.

I'll keep checking in to see what the plans are.

We (me and my wife) will definitely be there and we are bringing our new friends from South Africa that we recently baptized into the phaith. Well, since they're virgins, you all will have to help me properly baptize them anyway :D We have started affectionately referring to them as our "African Friends." Anyway, we have the premier parking pass and will be arriving as soon as we can check in to our hotel and will be ready to tailgate!

so who is keeper of the phone list???
you can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning 8)

PHONE LIST

Post by Soraya »

Okay, guess I am just going to dive right in since no one has expressed interest in doing it themselves or has stated any other issues of concern with my being a purple, three head reptile from Alpha Centauri. (Kidding! Just wanted to make sure that you were reading!)

So, everyone that wishes to be put on the phone list, please post your intent to be included in this thread, and either PM (private message) me or email me at the sorayaj@nc.rr.com

I will collect phone numbers until I send out the final list on Friday, June 2, 2006. (Two days before the show as several of us will be doing our traveling down the day before and may not have access to emails.) I will keep and update an ‘attending’ list as well and post that here.

You must contribute a valid phone number to get a copy of this list. If you have any special instructions or limitations, please also include them in your PM or email.

Disrespecting and/or abusing the numbers on this phone list will result in extremely negative parrothead mojo coming your way and I will personally find a giant Key West chicken to come haunt your dreams!

Added you to the list....folks still need to keep those numbers coming for the phone list.

Next up....are we all going to try and meet up at one time during the afternoon for a bit, or just play it by hit or miss. It' be great to get everyone in at least a BN tailgate picture.

We are really being underachievers here compared to the Dallas tailgate thread! LOL....currently the longest in board history!

So, what are folks planning on doing for their tailgating pleasure? Special foods, drinks? Decorations?

We've got 12 coming including a pair of "Buffett Virgins" We intend to get 2 Premiere Passes,

Cocotel, find out where the Premiere Parking is, maybe we can gather at one end, that way for those who come in after noon can find the Phlock and try to park close.

Everyone may want to check out the Dallas post and the plans for Hoot Island for ideas. I think they are going to do it up big.

Oh how exciting! I've been at the beach for the week, come home, check the board and ya'll have been busy!!! We'll have a tiki bar, margaritas, and other decorations. We have about 12 in our group. Usually do cheeseburgers, and have lots of munchies. We always have plenty for anyone who needs to eat. The women in our group are planning to get together in May to finalize our plans. If you look under the photo gallery, go to Tailgate pics-2005, page 4, and look at the picture labelled Charlotte 2005, you will see the tiki bar we take with us. I think this pic was taken by some guys we met from Vermont, when we were setting up the bar. OIBphan is the woman in the white shirt putting one of the chairs together. Can't see the giant margarita glass we take to put the margarita pump ball in, but this year we have at least two of the giant glasses and pump balls for margaritas. Soraya, I'm pm'ing you with my number. Looking forward to meeting everyone there!

I agree, it may be bigger in Texas. Nonetheless, it never hurts to borrow a few ideas

Premier parking

Post by cocotel »

The Verizon website says that premier parking is on the Pavillion Blvd side of the Amphitheatre. If anyone has ever parked there and can offer advice on a group meeting point please let us know.
