It's about time...I have seen Dylan three times. He is very hit or miss though, some shows are great and others.....well aren't so great.

Dylan tours more than a lot of artists out there (thus, the Neverending Tour) so you're gonna have gonna have good and bad nights. He's only human after all. Fortunately all of his concerts I've seen were above average. If people want to see something approximating the American Idle mentality there's no shortage of those type of acts for them to throw their money at. If they wanna see the real deal, there's Bob Dylan.

I saw him last spring at the Orpheum in Boston...really good stuff. I was pretty impressed with his current backing band. They were tight.

My favorite variation of Dylan's back-up band was when Charlie Sexton and Larry Cambell were touring with him. I agree the new band is tight, but there was just something special about Charlie and Larry. The best show for was back on November 11, 2001 in State College. I was in the second row and Dylan was just "on" the whole night.

I haven't seen him with the new band but I have seen him with Sexton a couple of times. Charlie sure let 'er rip on "Highway 61".
