There is talk that he signed a three year deal with Mohegan. That being said, I'm not so sure about it. I heard from concert-goers last year that the sound was hit or miss. I had phriends behind the stage that couldn't hear Jimmy talking in between songs, and they were able to hear the songs in part because the knew them. I also heard something that Jimmy agreed the sound was not great at Mohegan from what he was able to make out. Why play a concert if the fans can't hear ya?
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

I just bought advance tickets
If you're a member of promoter Jimmy Koplik's club you can get 2 advance tickets. I just did. But the hotel is already sold out.

He's the promoter, and he usually provides tickets to the shows that he booked. I seriously doubt that he'd sell tickets to this show without actually having it booked.
...I think that it's safe to bank on this date.
I called Mohegan Sun and they say nothing is booked yet...
I hope you're right!
How much do you pay for tickets as a "friend of Jim Koplick"?
It's pretty much face + fees..
Friends of Jimmy Costs like $250 per year. This is my first year as a member, and some of the shows that I've purchased directly through him were VERY good, but others weren't so hot. Because of that, I had a tough time forking out the TOP price not knowing where the seats would be.
I secured a pair of $91 seats, so at least I'm in the door. During the public sale I'm looking for better seats, but if I don't see any, at least I have something to fall back on.
I'm hoping that when Hartford's Summer Amphitheatre concert dates roll out, I will actually get VERY GOOD reserved seats. We'll see!
IF somebody could tell me how the allotment usually is at the Dodge Music Theatre (or whatever the hell they call it now), I would greatly appreciate it!

Not sure if this is left over from last year but use this link and scroll down the seating chart selection and JB appears. http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/237645
The ticket sale page hasn't appeared yet on the tm site but the seating chart is ready to go.
