1. What were you doing this time last month? Staying with my grandmother-in-law while our house underwent drastic cosmetic surgery!
2. Last year? We had just got DSL so I could listen to RM at home. I remember getting to listen to Jimmy's Florida leg on RM, wondering what the summer tour dates would be. Planning my honeymoon. My son had just turned 1.
3. Five years ago? Hubby and I were 1 1/2 years into our relationship. Weren't engaged, yet. We had just "officially" moved in together. My daughter was 3. My now-MIL was my boss! Just on the brink of being a PHead and attending my first Buffett show.
4. Ten years ago? I was 21 and livin' it up. Lived in a cute little apartment on Capitol Hill in Denver, actually a little closer to the Governor's mansion. Had a lot of parties at our apartment because most of my friends weren't 21 yet. I think the only Jimmy Buffett music I had was SYKBH. We used to hang out in a coffee shop in LoDo and there was a local musician who played covers of Jimmy there one night. Little did I know, I was just a few months shy of becoming pregnant with my daughter (she's a little souvenir of my 22nd birthday).
5. Twenty??? Sheeesh!! I was 11!!! That summer I got to spend 3 weeks with my aunt and uncle on their ranch just outside of Tucson, AZ. It was the first time I spent any length of time away from my parents (which I never really had a problem with). My aunt and uncle are pretty well-off so I was spoiled rotten all summer!! When I got back from AZ, the most memorable thing is my mom took my bra shopping because that was the year I "blossomed".

4. Ten years ago? Feb. 24, 1996-it was four days before I left Memphis, TN to move back to Iowa-some friends of ours had my wife (who wasn't my wife yet), her son, and me over to their house in Memphis for a barbeque-and, as it goes, I succumbed to a SEVERE anxiety attack-had to be packed away in one of the spare bedrooms, and I missed out on some great cheeseburgers, chicken, beer, etc.
