It’s that time of year again! Parrot Heads in Natural Settings is pleased to announce that this year’s PHINS Open will be returning to the World Golf Village on June 24, 2006. Due to the overwhelming response last year, we have reserved the Slammer and Squire for the entire day! You now have a choice between an 8:00 a.m. or a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.
Proceeds from this year’s golf tournament will again be going to Community PedsCare, a program of Community Hospice that cares for children with life-threatening illnesses or injuries. With your help and the support of our sponsor’s, we hope to surpass last year’s donation of $9,500!
Our host roost is the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort. We’ve arranged special rates of $99 per night for 2 double beds or $149 for a suite. While you’re golfing, your family can enjoy the wonderful amenities of the Renaissance Resort (checkout their website at www.worldgolfrenaissance.com). Registration starts on Friday, June 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the Slammer and Squire Clubhouse, complete with island music and a cash bar. Be sure to browse the raffle items and visit the various vendors.
On Saturday, registration for the 8:00 a.m. golfers starts at 6:30 a.m. at the Clubhouse. A lunch buffet will follow the early flight. The 1:30 p.m. golfers start with a lunch buffet at 11:30 a.m. at the Clubhouse. There will be prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt and, the ever favorite, Best Dressed Team. After all the golf clubs are put away, join us for the awards ceremony followed by live entertainment starting at 7 pm Saturday evening.
