New Round of Austin City Limits DVDs/CDs

Post by Jahfin »

The latest round of performances from the Austin City Limits vaults to get the DVD/CD treatment are ones from Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and Tony Joe White. There's more info here:

In addition to the DVDs/CDs listed above, this article mentions a
classic Willie Nelson performance scheduled to be released this summer:

I have the Dwight Yoakam, Texas Tornados, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, & Waylon Jennings ones....I was very surprised at how good the sound quality is...They spent a lot of time remastering them and they sound great....Picture quality is also very good (since they were for TV, they are in the Full Screen format)...worth checking out...

I haven't purchased any yet but will most likely pick up the Waylon one. I do hope they'll someday release Buffett's two appearances on ACL, preferably his first one. Also on my wishlist are John Prine, Asleep at the Wheel, Whiskeytown, Old 97s, Lyle Lovett, Kasey Chambers, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Tift Merritt, and quite a few more.
