Lawn or Pavilion?
Hello all,
My wife and I have seen Jimmy for about 11 years running and always enjoy the show (an understatement!). The first 7-8 years we got lawn seats, but since then started to prefer pavilion seats, mostly because of the drunks and such that come with lawn seats (my wife has been knocked down and had beer spilled on her many a times). I always had a blast in the lawn, problems notwithstanding. I'm thinking of going for lawn seats this year instead of pavilion and being with some of our friends, because quite honestly, I think it's boring in the pavilion. My wife vehemently objected when I mentioned this, so now we almost have grounds for divorce (well, not quite).
Is there any easy solution to this problem, or should I be a good hubby and just stick with pavilion seats (assuming I can get them)? Anyone else gone through this?
Cheers!

and what everyone else said.
Too old to stand (usually at an angle) for that long.
Gotta have a seat.

Easy...Pavillion! No weather issues, not nearly as many sound issues, and a better view. Plus no issues with people who come last minute and try to squeeze into lawn space right next to your spot!
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.

here too. Belligerent drunks seem to breed on the lawn; there are a lot fewer/square foot in the pavillion seats. Granted, it's harder to dance in the space between the seat rows, but the aggravation factor balances that out nicely.

do you usually by a single? I think that does make a differenceLIPH wrote:I've been to over 60 Buffett shows, never paid a scalper and always had pavilion seats. I love the lawn. Nothing beats having space to stretch out, dance, and enjoy the feel of the grass between your toes.
And every year while in line for tickets I hear people bitterly complaining that if they can't get pavilion seats they aren't going at all. I can't count the number of times I've seen someone angrily stomp away from the window after being told no pavilion seats are avialable. Are you kidding me??
