Welding Equipment - know anything?

As diverse as this BN crowd is, does anyone know anything about welding equipment? The different brands, which are good/bad, various accessories?
I know absolutely nothing about them, but a company has asked me to interview with them. I would be in charge of selling the equipment to regional businesses. The person on the phone interview told me they were big in automotive and military (but I've found that recruiters will tell you just about anything to get you working for them).
If you are familiar with welding equipment, please let me know. I'll PM the company name and you can let me know if you have ever heard of them.

My brother owns a welding/machine shop. The guy that runs it is pretty sharp about the business and the equipment used. I can get some feedback from him if it'll help ya.

Feel free to shoot me a PM. I've been through several classes/workshops and do a reasonable bit of oxy acetylene welding (some wrought iron and metal linking), and small metals welding (jewelry grade). I'm mostly familiar with the consumer welding supplies, like Meco and L&RUltrasonics (not really a welding company, but the Aqua torch is a welding kit), but I can certainly see if I know anything about the company

"Don't stare at the pretty blue light."
That's about the extent of my knowledge. I worked for Babcock and Wilcox for a year (industrial construction), and all our onsite gear was leased from local companies and Riggs Distler. None of it was less than decades old technology.

we use mostly lincoln at the hanger and try to buy most of it at military surplus auctions. with all the base closings in northern CA, we've been able to get alot of high end stuff dirt cheap.
