I received this yesterday:
Hey There
I wanted to let you know I just found out this morning that Jimmy has decided to no longer use the horn section. He is pairing down the size of the band and it appears the horns as a section will not be utilized any longer. Jimmy will be keeping John Lovell, the trumpet player, so you will at least get to hear some horn during the show.
Anyway, this means since I will not be on tour any longer I will not be able to hook you up with tickets, etc. I’m sorry if I’ve already made some commitments with you but this is out of my hands. I hope it doesn’t inconvenience you that I can’t follow through with my offer of tickets.
It was nice to be able to see you once a year and I’m glad to have made some really great friendships through this gig. I will miss seeing you all.
Be well everyone.
With Peace
Amy Lee

Like the rest of you, I'll miss Amy (and TC too if I read that message right) but think about it. There was no horn section on the License To Chill CD, was there? And maybe it's just me but it seemed like the horns were being used less and less in the live shows the last couple of years.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Rumor Starter:
Horns got big after Fingers quit and got fired
Horns gone
= Fingers Back
This is a joke, any semblence to the truth is purely coincidental

Speaking of Fingers' back...shouldn't he be well by the start of the tour? Hmm....

No offense whatsoever to Amy Lee but any paring down of the Coral Reefer Band can't be anything but a good thing. And I doubt "Fingers" ever returns.
