Well, since we never really had a chance to do the brother sister bonding thing when we were young maybe this time time I could overlook...rednekkPH wrote:I'M YOUR SISTER! I'M YOUR SISTER!buffettbride wrote:Yeah. I keep forgetting that we're twins.NYCPORT wrote:Wanna find out???

What kind of response have folks gotten from Ticket"master" when they file complaints, etc.?
It really frustrates me that I had some sweeeeeet seats, replied within the given time frame stated by Ticket"master" and then was told that I took too long.
I know others have had similar, if not worse experiences, but I really had my heart set on making it to Charlotte this year and was shut out.
What does Ticket"master" say to all the complaints, etc.?

I have been drunk now for over two weeks,
Passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks

There is definitely something wrong with Ticketmaster's online setup. My wife had gotten into the system (to the point where all the tickets had been selected and she was one click away from confirming everything), when she got suddenly booted back out to the main page.
This happened TWICE.
But at the exact same time I somehow managed to get through the whole process no problem. What the heck?

My guess is that they simply do not care. After all, why should they? They know that they have a monopoly on providing the tickets, so people will keep coming back to try to buy from them regardless of how bad the software actually works.Fin wrote:...

I sent them a complaint informing them that I did everything that they recommend in order to avoid issues, but still encountered multiple errors. I'm sure I'll get the cut and paste corporate apology and disclaimer.
Don't suppose it is worth contacting artists and informing them of the problems their client base experiences, anybody ever tried this?
Wish more folks would do advance mail order or pre-sale with purchaser pickup at will call.

If I remember right Pearl Jam did something to that degree because they were so fed up with the "service charge" that TicketMaster was adding on to each ticket sold. I don't think it lasted very long though.
I guess the really only "fair" ticket distribution system is to either get them direct from the artist (and I think record labels and promoters would have issues with that) or go back to the 50s/60s process of having to buy them at the venue. But that means a day or so of standing in a line, and it makes it next to impossible to travel anywhere to see a show unless you know people in the town.

One of my favorites, Widespread Panic, does their own advance mail order. This helps to ensure that at least some of their loyal fan base, not the scalpers, end up with tix. Wish more would offer that option.

Would a scalper even be interested in tickets to a band with 6 fans?NYCPORT wrote:There wouldn't be any scalpers smart enough to join the mailing list would there?Fin wrote:One of my favorites, Widespread Panic, does their own advance mail order.
