I am also looking for accomidations near by. Also is since we will be coming in a small car with limited space, I was wondering if we could meet up with some BN'er for the tailgate? The last time Buffett played Jones Beach 2 years ago some people stayed at the Gateway Inn (I think, it might be called the Gateway Motel) on Sunrise Highway in Merrick. It's 1/2 mile east of the Meadowbrook Parkway, a straight shot down to the beach. There's a Best Western in Massapequa, the BW website calls it the Best Western Bar Harbor. It's a little farther east but still not that far from the beach. There used to be a Holiday Inn in Rockville Centre but that's a Best Western now.
