And when I read this post I immediately thought of one of my favorite places in Port Lavaca near where I live.

The Roseate Spoonbill Gallery is a wonderful place next door to a fun garden/bar/restaurant, called The Green Iguana.

Susan, can't believe you've never seen them, I've seen them every time I've been in Florida!

Then again I actually spend much of my time looking for birds, so I guess that isn't surprising :P

Florida, as well as most of the Southeast Coast have some of the top bird sanctuaries...

get a Field Guide to the Birds of Florida...you'll be amazed at what you find....

I know.... seems weird since I owned a sailboat for 10 years..... and spent alot of time in and around the Bay as well as the intercoastal....
