ETICKETS
Does anyone know anything about etickets? I ordered four tickets through StubHub for the Alpine show and when the FedEx package came rather than the old fashioned heavyweight paper tickets, I got a printout with a picture of a ticket on it. I called StubHub and they said etickets are very common these days. Is there anyway to verify if the ticket is legitimate? We're supposed to be taking our kids to their first Buffett show as a birthday suprise and it would be a horrific experience to get there and then find out we had bogus tickets (we'd be driving there from Michigan)...If anyone is familiar w/ these etickets please let me know!

If you purchase these tix yourself there will not be a problem, the issue arises when you buy them from the jack ass thats xeroxing 100 copies and selling them to other peoplepurpleskye wrote:I have used ETICKETS for every Buffett concert I have been to and a few other concerts and never had a problem......

Kind of weird that a broker would be selling e tix.
I've used E tix a number of times. The funniest was in Toronto for Jimmy last year when the gate people didn't yet have scanners for the e tickets.
They just looked at them funny but waved everyone through.
I would be in the venue the second the gates open and that should avoid any problems if someone who sold the tix to the broker made copies for themselves and a thousand of their friends, 1st one in wins the prize!

I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.

Stubhub guarantees that the tickets are real. If they turn out to be fakes or dupes just report the seller and you'll get your money back and stubhub will charge the seller the amount to recoup thier costs. They keep a valid credit card on file for all sellers.

I've heard (and I may be wrong) that some venues will offer to scan a ticket to verify that it is real. Still doesn't prevent duplication though.
An offer to refund your money is little help at a sold out show. I would imagine Stubhub would try to police that closely. But get in early to be on the safe side.

i got my tickets from a scalper online for the philly show last summer .. I was desperate! it was one of the print at home ones and ends up the person must have printed multiple ones. atleast 4 people had my seat.. same ticket! happened to most people in my section. But it was a buffet show so we all just had a good time.. there were empty seats around since everyone seemed to be hanging out on the railings with their drinks. If you ordered yourself from TM then you are fine. If you are buying from reseller beware that multiple copies can be made and then the first person in to the venue could be the only person in.

In Boston last year there were many U2 fans that ended up with the same seats from these types of tickets and all were not allowed in, except the first ones who had their code scanned. I did hear, in some instances, they were going to seats inside and even removing people who got scanned in if there were others who said they had the same seats.
We have used these ticketfast tickets several times without issue from brokers (knocking on wood sound)!
Sadly we have had to use brokers many times, but we have found one in particular that we have used alot without issue.
