I tend to agree, though, in truth, a lot is hitting the fan all at once this year and many just want their concerns heard.

Most of us are not ready for the bitter pill of a farewell tour just yet...so you're very right about that positive. He IS touring.... halleluia and pass the jello shots!! :pirate: :D

I don't mind the complaining. Heck, I'm doing my share of it, but in a civil way and without pointing fingers. The situation has struck a chord with a lot of folks.

Maybe we need a separate form called "Rants & Raves" where people can complain about (or praise) things like this. No point swamping the "Off Topic Area" with it. :)
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after

there are are two sides to this...those who complain about the complainers who are complaining about complainers are just complaining about something else.... :o :o What up with that

The day will come when Jimmy tours no more...I have been to many a concert and have had my turn more then a couple times....if some reason I cannot get tickets then I pass along the torch to those who maybe would not have seen Jimmy otherwise....ticket prices..well its a matter of priority..expecting to see more of the same...better start saving yer pennies now...so at the end of day.....I have lots of good memories..met some interesting pholks..participated in my share of frivolity and extravagance and along the way and myabe more importantly have contributed to the well being of foster care children in group home and institututional settings...contributed time and money to victims of natural disasters..helped pump money back into an area stricken by naturual disasters.............all in the name of being a parrothead

And you did a might fine job of "appropriating" inflatable tarantulas carrying tequila bottles..

Great post, Bumper. When that day does come I will look back with pride on the good things we've done and will cherish the friendships I've made. Our phlockings will continue, whether or not Jimmy is touring. As I've often said, actually seeing Jimmy perform is a bonus. It's the chance to see old friends and meet new ones that is the best part of the deal for me. :D

(See ya in a few hours, old friend  )

exactly. if they are going to let you go, it's not really your problem.. only an idiot would expect "you fired me? here, let me help you drive the knife in even further" to be the real outcome...

Me? What bothers me? The fact that I can't go at all.

Why do people have issues with touring on the Canadian Prairies? Yes...its cold in winter. Really cold. And brutally hot in Summer. And there's not much to see..., and there's not many people, there aren't many big concert venues....(etc.)

Oh.

I still wish Jimmy would come somewhere, ANYWHERE, close.
