I just heard from a fellow Parrotthead living in Charlottesville VA that they are getting a new CIP soon. They are so lucky![/b]

It'll be in the old Chi Chi's on Rt. 29, if you're familiar w/ the area.

Tryin' to tell myself that my condition is improvin' and if I don't die by Thursday, I'll be roarin' Friday night.

How come they don't have one in Pittsburgh yet? There is an old Chi-Chi's up here just waiting to be converted.

Nothing I can say for sure, but I have heard Hagerstown mentioned. Don't take that to mean one is going in, though...

Pennsylvania's development has just started. I'm sure Pittsburgh is on the agenda, I just don't know when...

Sometimes it isn't a matter of us not wanting to go into an area, but being able to secure a location, and then have the city approve the plans, etc. It's a very long process...We get (if we are lucky) 1 out of 10 sites that we aim for...that's BEFORE the City has anything to say. I know of at least 2 locations personally that have been killed by the city AFTER that point....including my own.

Tampa in the works. Date/location, I'm unsure.
Transferring is possible, and I looked into a transfer to Atlanta just last week...it just doesn't work out unless I'm getting a promotion guaranteed along with it...

I'll be honest. California is unlikely, at least for a long time.
The way we pay our servers/bussers/bartenders/hosts is based on a lower wage, but includes a generous tip-share program.

The minimum wage for Tipped employees in California is so high that it would be difficult for a restaurant such as ours to be profitable there.

We could change the program, but at this point, they have better things to do, trying to open up the rest of the country.

We have a couple of Islands opening up in Folsom and Roseville. There sort of CIP "light"...... no, actually they are nothing like them and there's no reason to buy one of there tee shirts.

But I found a great bottle of Barbera to sulk with!
