The new Doctor Who on Sci Fi Channel

Ok, so I am such a geek. The new doctor who is premiering on Sci Fi, and I just watched the last hour watching it (it's a 2 hour premiere).
It may be set in present time, but damn does it bring back memories of my childhood watching it on Saturdays.
I know others watch some of the British stuff, and I thought someone else out there might appreciate that.

I still watch the old black and white shows on PBS.

The Doctor is being played by the bad guy from the last Harry Potter movie....

That was Ralph Fiennes. This guy was in 28 days, and a bunch of other British movies.

I got hooked when Baker was the Dr, just can't seem to warm up to anybody else having that role now.

Wrong bad guy....
Fiennes played Voldemort (THE bad guy...you're right, I should have clarified.) I was referring to the guy who played Barty Crouch, Jr.

Oh geez, yes. David Tennant, who's actually the 10th doctor (the season on the bbc now). I didn't even realize he was in Potter. I was referring to Christopher Eccleston, who's playing the 9th doctor on Sci Fi now. He was the one in 28 days.
Now we're all clarified

That's true, I remember hearing an interview with him last year some time.
I still liked him in the Avengers remake movie a couple of years ago, even though I still never met anyone who actually liked that movie other than me.
