Half baked cookies in the oven
Half baked people on the bus
There's a little bit of fruitcake left in everyone of us!
I hadn't thought of it that way....that's pretty appropriate! :) I'll add that to my list! :) :) Thank you!

That's What Friends Are For

Performed by Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder
Written by Bacharach

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Well you came in loving me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you

Oh and then for the times when we're apart
Well then close your eyes and know
The words are coming from my heart
And then if you can remember

This one came to me instantly...

You've Got A Friend - James Taylor

When you’re down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
And you know whereever I am
I’ll come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You’ve got a friend.

If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
I’ll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a friend?
People can be so cold.
They’ll hurt you and desert you.
Well they’ll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don’t you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I’ll come running to see you again.
Oh babe, don’t you know that,
Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all you’ve got to do is call.
Lord, I’ll be there, yes I will.
You’ve got a friend.
You’ve got a friend.
Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend.
Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend.
You’ve got a friend.

Thanks for the suggestion! I like that song. Unfortunately I'm still trying to get over the fact that my ex loves James Taylor and every time I hear a JT song, My face wrinkles up still. Hopefully someday, that won't happen anymore! : ):) :)

Ok, let me change the request a bit albeit these are great suggestions, I'm still not finding anything that's quite right. How about a buffettesque phrase/lyric for sisters?

Try this
Not about sisters though

Jimmy & The Parrots - We Owe It All To Jimmy

It ain't about the parrots
Or the swaying palm trees
It's about all the good friends
That we have come to be

It may not be the exact lyrics, I couldn't find them on line so I'm going from memory.
