Ding-Dong Duke is Dead!!!

Post by lookingat40 »

There is nothing like tears running down the face of a pampered Dukie that brings me more joy in the sports world...Life is good in that realm tonight...dang...only one title in 14 years...that other school down the road has twice as many in that span...Let the bells ring and the children sing..."DING-DONG DUKE IS DEAD!!!"

Yup yup...Though I wouldn't exactly be celebrating if I'm a Tar Heel
It's like Yankee fans celebrating the White Sox beating the Red Sox last October, and then losing a couple of days later. Oh wait, I did that. Never mind. I did NOT count on Bubba Crosby colliding with Sheff in right.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

The Dukies couldn't rebound with a 4 to 1 advantage from the line at the end...without some help from the guys in stripes and J.J. Re-DICK hitting everything he throws up the Dukies were a pretty average team...even if Mister "I was charged with sexual assault in high school and I look like the Toxic Avenger" Shelden Williams got away with murder on the boards.

They fell apart...gods, glad I am not going into work tomorrow...a third of the office is going to be suicidal...the other two thirds (NCState and NC) already have done their mourning.

Ohio State is also out...so I no longer care....basketball just isn't my thing.....baseball, hockey and football...I think that is enough.

Is where the Chinese buried the truth...

You mean like they did against Maryland in the second half the semi-final in 2001....

I read the title of this one with a bit of dread, thinking Rauol had died again in Doonesbury... This is much better news.

watching OSU go down hard early (#2 seed? buwahahahahahaha) was nice. The only thing better than Buckeye fans moaning and mouring their basketball team is watching them on a streak like 2004 when they lost 3-4 football games in a row. I am surprised there are any members of the Alumni Assoc. left after that. :D

Okay...I'll remember this when one of your teams go down hard.

OSU fans are not just skin deep....we'll suffer through some set backs and then fire the coach! I really don't know why they lost so early.....no reason to really...other then they probably got too cocky.

I love listening to OSU haters who are..... ah, misinformed....
This team was picked by the experts to finish 7th in the Big Ten this year. All they did was win the conference title and made it to the final of the conference tournament. They did this with great coaching, defense and the 3 before their guards hit a slump at the end of the season.

The men & women's b-ball & the football team all won the Big Ten conference titles this year so it wasn't such a bad year to be a Buckeye fan. Although they got a bad matchup for them against G-town and got beat, I was disappointed, but not moaning by any stretch of the imagination. And I'm as big a Buckeye fan as there is, as you well know. Frankly, I didn't expect such a great overall season so I was pleased with this year.

Yeah, Buckeye fans are passionate about their teams and can get a little crazy and over the top about it. Kinda reminds me of Jimmy's fans. And there aint a freakin thing wrong with that.... :D

I find it funny that Michigan lost yet again in football this year to OSU, what is that like 3 of the last 4? I remember quite a bit of crying coming from Ann Arbor this past November. :D
