A little help, if you can please....

Hello to all,
This is my first time posting a message since I joined in last week.
I've been reading from this web page for over two years now and have always admired the postings and responses, especially in times of need.
On December 15 2005 my wife was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia (ALL). She has undergone some intense Chemo at UNC Chapel Hill these past fews months and is going to receive a bone marrow transplant this April.
Through it all she has stayed strong and committed to beating this.
Her family in Rhode Island had an incredible fund raiser dinner for her earlier this month and we began to put our requests in for any Northeast Parrotheads to be on the look out for tickets for the August 10th show.
To date no luck.
So here I am today looking for a little help.
This past Friday she told her doctors she wanted to be in R.I. on August 9th to celebrate her mom's 75th b/day and on the 10th "dancing on the lawn with parrotheads"
Can anyone out there help me find two lawn tickets at a reasonable price?

I don't have any extras, but will keep an eye out.

Since you posted your phone number, please be very careful of scam artists. There are a couple of scams where someone calls and offers you tickets if you'll send them money via Western Union or COD. These guys don't have any tickets and are just out to rip you off. No matter how good it sounds, don't listen to them.

Unfortunately I can't help with tickets. But I can tell you to beware of the scammers as SGH warned of. If you can get to the parking lot you should be able to score some tix. Normally ther are allways people that had a friend or two that could not make it. Yes scalpers traverse the lot as well.
A week or so before the actual show more tix are released, for various reasons,People used invalid credit card numbers to what have you and radio stations usually have promotions. Maybe contact the radio stations and see what they might or could if anything to help. Sounds like you and your wife could be able to get them to get them to help he and you out and give them some great publicity at the same time.
The worst they can tell you is "No...." At best you might find success!

Keep the Phaith! You will get and you and her will be there.

Beware of any scalpers. It is always buyer beware with them. I know of several cases people got counterfeited tix.

I edited your post to remove your phone number. There are too many scammers out there that would take advantage of you in a heartbeat with that info.

Keep checking around the board, and you might want to mention in the GW thread over in the Gatherings forum that you're looking for tickets...it can't hurt.

I don't think you really have to do that- I know I was digging through my bag looking for my ticket (only one, with two of us in the truck), and they just waved us through instead of waiting.
