trust me SY....I knew when it was...just because I didn't post that it was TODAY...I did post two days ago that it started in 3 days...not that I understand what that has to do with anything...
Nothing, it was just an observation. Not meant to imply anything.

Yeah. It didn't look right when I typed it, but I figured y'all are smart enough not to want to slaughter seals, you'd be smart enough to know what I was saying.

I dunt spel so gud.

Okay.. It's time for bed. Yes, I'm drunk very much now... :D

To sum things up. I think that anyone who clubs (and/or skins alive) a baby seal should be burned alive!! Animals are our friends!! Those Canadian pricks!!! But... If it p*** you off, don't b**** at your BN friends about it!! Go where the fight is!!!

Yeah, figured I'd just as well p*** off the religious right while I was at it.

It's been a looooooooooooooooooong day
SEE!!! You clearly admit you were out to cause trouble and to p*** off some people.

I have no idea what the religious right has to do with the slaughter of 325,000 baby harp seals though or if they even read this forum, which I highly doubt they ever would.
I think you're taking me way to literally Sam. I was more posting in response to st.somewhere's comment about me saying Goddess when one would normally say God. Again, a tongue-in-cheek attempt at humor.

Goddess only knows the word "liberals" gets tossed around here with no mind that folks may be offended by that (which I'm not).

Gosh darnit. There I've done it again.
Mal,
Perhaps so, but then again I found no humor your original post. God or Godess does not bother me. I know people of many different faiths and beliefs. I don't have to believe as they do, I just know them and what they have told me that they believe and they have that choice to make as anyone in this country does or should make for themselves)

I don't find anything funny or humorous about clubbing 325,000 baby harp seals ( or any other baby animal) to death needlessly. I don't see a fashion statement as a need. No one will die if they can't wear a baby seal fur coat, if they do so well, perhaps the gene pool will improve. After all if they can afford to buy one, they can afford to spend the money on other REAL neccessities of life....rather forcing the brutal death of hundreds of thousands of harmless innocent baby creatures every year.
Take a long look at the ice and snow where all the killing occurs....look at it long and hard and see the blood and gore that remains......what is funny about it? Going to crack a joke and tell me you see Holy Mother or the face of Jesus or some such in the remnants of such slaughter, just so some wealthy person can make a fashion statement?
Roll with the punches, play all of your hunches...come what may...

TikiT,
I know from what I have been able to find that not many Canukians support this. The other day someone said that that was old data and that the attitude had changed and more Canuckians were supporting "the hunt".
I know Canada is a huge place with people all over... but can you offer any input as to if the opposition of the people up there has changed and if it has how so or how much it has changed?

Thank you,

Well at least you did not step on a cat, have it screech climb your leg with it's claws out while still screching, have the dogs (3) wake up start barking at full volume, the big one run into you, the cat is now claws out and on top of your head, you fall down or hit the couch or a chair the cat jumps off, the bird starts shrieking somewhere in the middle of this, and the two littl dogs are all over you and the big dog is stepping all over you barking at full volume. and running around..... Then you have to get up and go find something to put on your scratches. Take some aspirin or ibuprofen, have another drink to calm down and once again bravely face your way to bed.

wanna trade the exersaucer for a couple of 3 dogs and a cat or two ?? 8) :pirate: :D 8)

Ok. So it's bad. But it's funny. Admit it.
No, NOT funny.
But you people got your wish-the seals are being turned into furs for your types of people. The same people who don't believe in capital punishment (that's where convicetd FELONS are put to death, as opposed to the brutal & barbaric means of killing innocent animals that harm NOBODY).
I'll bet the same people who don't have a problem with this are the same people that think NASCAR racing should be banned.
