Red Sox brawl

The Rays and Sox have had some hostile history but this will amp it up ALOT

Yeah.... Brilliant..... Hit him with your pitching hand......Gathright was sliding into home in the eighth inning when he was tagged out by the often-hot tempered Tavarez, who stepped on the outfielder’s right arm. Gathright, still on the ground, then used his left forearm to push Tavarez’s left knee.
Before Gathright got up, Tavarez struck a blow in the area of Gathright’s left jaw, and players flocked in from the benches and bullpens. No other players appeared to throw punches, and order was restored after a few minutes.
You can say that again!!often-hot tempered Tavarez
Hey, wait a second! I'm a girl, and I throw a much better punch than that!SharkOnLand wrote:He punches like a girl.
This is the same guy who punched a Dugout phone with his pitching hand...when with the Cardinals and it was in or around the playoffs or World Series in 2004!!SchoolGirlHeart wrote:Yeah.... He looks about as manly as Rodriguez did slapping the ball out of Arroyo's (I think) glove in the playoffs.job41475 wrote:Now I know why Varitek kept his mask on when he fought A-Rod. Apparently Red Sox can't fight. Nice punch, ma'am
you noticed that it looks more like a slap than a punch too, eh?SharkOnLand wrote:He punches like a girl.
thinking a straight left from Gathright to the family jewels would have made Tavares a bit more hesitant to step on someone's arm again. It's not like there wasn't going to be a fight already, might as well make him remember it..parrothead338 wrote:Found this funny:
If you think about it, he's probably retained one shred of common sense and is trying to protect his pitching hand. If he delivers a normal punch, the chances of breaking a bone in his hand increase significantly....RinglingRingling wrote:you noticed that it looks more like a slap than a punch too, eh?SharkOnLand wrote:He punches like a girl.
well shoot, then he might as well go for the open-handed slap... or an elbow. This way, I am thinkin' he needs a good spearing..SchoolGirlHeart wrote:If you think about it, he's probably retained one shred of common sense and is trying to protect his pitching hand.
