Group tickets?

Post by fins2thenorth »

After all this crazyness with tickets this year and fast sell out times i was wondering if anybody's tested the group ticket aproch for a buffett show. I mean i guess it would be possible to purchase group tickets in advanced of the on sale if you were purchasing something like 15 or more tickets. So if anybody has tried this i would like to hear their stories.

I believe group tickets were only made available to brokers  .

A few years ago I contacted both Tweeters at Camden and Great Woods to inquire about purchasing a group of 35 LAWN tickets to each show.

While they appreciated my business, they told me that Buffett shows were one of the few shows that they no longer do Group Sales for. Any other show that has less demand, no problem... But Buffett? Forget it!

Kinda like going to Fenway and asking if you can buy Sox/Yanks tickets in bulk. Doesn't happen!

I think some venues will still do it on a first come-first serve basis, but you're getting a box that will hold 20-30 people, rather than a block of good seats (or a block of lawn tickets).

I hate to ask because it will take away from the humor but...

Are you being serious about the original line-up of GNR?

A lot of venues have specific "group sales" salespeople. In my experience it's the suites and such they are selling, though I don't know for sure.

That's how we got 50 tickets to my concert/wedding and reserving the press box.

You might try contacting the venue directly and ask for group sales.

dead serious

Id probably even consider selling organs for great seats for one of those shows.
