Ugh! I can totally relate! I have an obese baby cat that inhales her food and my other normal size mama cat is a grazer. The mama cat likes to pick away at her food at her leisure, but if she walks away from the dish, the baby cat will seize and hoover whatever is left... thus not allowing the mama cat to get her share. Essentially, what I had to do is feed them at regular times and in different rooms. They both get fed in the morning, but with smaller amounts so (especially with the mama cat) they eat it all and there is nothing left over. I sometimes have to pick up the mama cat and put her back by her dish several times each morning to ensure she eats all the food and the fat baby doesn't swoop in and finish it off. In the evening, I have to do the same thing, but I have a bit more time to monitor them. It's a real pain to do this, but otherwise I'd continue to overfeed one and underfeed the other. There's no other realistic solution for my situation... :-?
I'm right there with you- Senna's locked in his room with his bowl for a little bit, which happens several times a day. We tried the high cal vitamin goo, but he won't touch it. Then again, the stupid cat won't eat anything that's not tuna, turkey or cat food (But Diamonds found out last night that she likes passion fruit butter, which is odd, but not as weird as the chile-lime pistacios).

try smearing the hi-cal goo on his fur. He'll lick it off and get the calories and vitamins.

My feline family of ten has its good days and bad days like any bunch of siblings. The longest intergration took a month. The Bach rescue remedy works well. Feliway I've had mixed results with. We use both a great deal where I work. The best thing to do is just give them time. Hopefully, at some point, they will come to terms and get along.

I currently have 3 cats, Ziggy is 14, Jaz is 8 and Evie is 5. As you can see they didn't all arrive together. Ziggy is completely indifferent to the other two. She ignores them whenever they are in the room, although if they touch her she will quickly attack them. She is a grazer when it comes to eating and is fairly picky about what she will eat. Jaz, is a grazer as well and has really bonded with Evie. They will play together, sleep together and fight together but they really like each other. Evie would be a hoover except that we don't let her eat to her hearts content.

We just let them sort it out, along with figuring out how to deal with our two dogs and whatever dogs friends and/or family bring with them when they visit. They've managed to sort it out fairly well.
