LIBERTY, Missouri (AP) -- A youth minister was charged with assault for allegedly knocking a 16-year-old boy down and kicking him in the groin after taking a head shot from the teen in a dodgeball game.

David M. Boudreaux, 27, was charged Wednesday with one count of third-degree assault. According to court documents, the incident happened in February at Crescent Lake Christian Academy.

Authorities said the teen missed Boudreaux with one throw but then knocked the youth minister's glasses off with the next.

The boy apologized, authorities said, but Boudreaux pushed him backward, and when the teen got up again Boudreaux kicked him in the groin and left.

The teen suffered whiplash and post-concussion syndrome and had blood in his urine after being kicked, according to court records.

Boudreaux later apologized, prosecutors said.

Jeanne D. Hewitt, administrator of Crescent Lake Christian Academy, said Boudreaux had been placed on administrative leave.

I got to see Tim Wilson do stand up recentley. He was hilarious. So much different than he is on Bob and Tom. His act isn't exactly "family friendly".

I never would have thought his act would be family friendly...but then again, I don't think any of the comedians on that show would be family friendly.

What is the point of this post? That not everyone that claims to be Christian really isn't? or is it that someone decided to finally teach a "punk " some manners? ...The "punk" apologized and now claims damages..... what about the damages ( permanent or otherwise) the ball could have caused?

I think the point was a minister kicked a kid in the balls for hitting him in the head during a game of dodgeball. What did your right wing mind think it was???

the cool thing is that you can ask for forgiveness every night and it gives you a clean slate.
Unfortunately that does not work so well with the law

Not younger child friendly...but at least he has a point to his comedy....not just gratuatis rudeness.

I had never heard of Church league sport leagues. Where I am from we had bar leagues! The kids might be sponsered by the hardware store or the local insurance or real estate company...but the adult all played for bar teams.

The day before I first heard Tim Wilson sing that song on Bob and Tom, I was speaking to a supervisor at work whose son just broke his arm rounding third. I was floored to hear about church league teams.

Well, Tim Wilson comes on while I am on the way to work and I almost drive my purple pick up truck off the side of the road. I can't wait to get to work and tell B about this song. Well, I see him and tell him most of the lyrics and all he can say is, 'Oh, that ain't nothing. Let me tell you about the time the preacher of 'such and such church' jumped our pinch hitter in the parking lot and pulled a 9 mm on him '

I had the chance to meet Tim Wilson after one of his shows in Raleigh a few months ago and mentioned my surprize at how serious folks took the ball leagues down here, and the difference between church league and bar league. All Tim said was, 'The bars were the more civilized ones, right?'

Afraid that churches don't have the monopoly on bad behavior in sports these days however. Recently there was that coach that paid a player to bean a handicap player so he's quit.

I didn't write the article. If you want to know the point email the author.

As far as posting it, it has no point. Just like 99.99% of nearly every piece of crap you post.
