SEE JIMMY BUFFETT's NEW FILM 'HOOT' In Theatres April 21st

Hoot. The film version of Florida author Carl Hiassen's Newbery
award-winning novel, will be out April 21 (incorrect should be May5th). The movie's soundtrack on Jimmy Buffett's Mailboat Records, will be out April 18. Buffett recorded a variety of songs for the CD, including a duet with Alan Jackson of the classic hit, "Barefootin'", some great covers: Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and Bruce Cockburn's "Wondering Where The Lions Are", a new version of his own "Floridays" and an original tune "Good Guys Win", written especially for the movie by long-time Buffett songwriting partners, Coral Reefers, Mac McAnally and Roger Guth. Maroon 5, Brie Larson and others also contribute tracks.

Filmed in Florida last summer, the mystery adventure revolves around a
Montana boy who moves to Florida and unearths a disturbing threat to a local population of endangered owls. Determined to protect his new environment, the boy and his friends fight to prevent the adults from making a big mistake. Three middle-schoolers take on greedy land developers, corrupt politicians, and clueless cops. With surprising plot twists, quirky characters, and offbeat humor, Hoot is a classic story everyone will enjoy.

Produced by Jimmy Buffett and Frank Marshall, along with New Line
Cinema, Walden Media and the Kennedy/Marshall Company, the film is directed by Will Shriner and stars Luke Wilson, Logan Lerman, Brie Larson and Cody Linley.

Hoot Soundtrack Available April 4 (incorrect should be April 18th), Also Online.

No, they're tight ba$tards.....he gets a free membership....that's the entire sum of the "perks" of working there....however, he does operate a forklift and works freight at night.....hmmmm.....dammit, he would never do it, his momma raised him right!

LMAO...umm, but what if that forklift dropped and dinked the corner, then perhaps a discount?

I can't believe that a $35 membership is ALL they get. Do you know anyone at Target? They get a 10% discount.....but you were right about the workmanship on theirs.

Looks like a cardboard cut out of Jimmy, but that does look like his Martin guitar.

I got that icky, sellout feeling too but it doesn't bother me. After I showed my wife the blender, she had to have it -- I may have to draw the line now ;)

I must say that this is the first pic of JB where he is obviously forcing a smile - he must've already laughed all the way to the bank.

Another observation is that this Hoot movie is being merchandised like there is no tomorrow with JB doing a lion's share of it. Just surprised...

I'd suppose this is all part of a deal that was inked when he agreed to play their company show last summer. There are just too many pieces (show, Vegas package, tiki bar promo) for it to be random. That would explain the I can't believe I'm doing this sh!t "smile" he's wearing, too. And, since Costco no longer carries M'ville foods, they need an outlet.
