Pleiades: Happy Belated Birthday! 'Love In The Library', huh, I always liked that one too (although you obviously have a much better reason than I). Nice to see kind words--phins up & have a ragtop day!

Boy did everyone have a rough day at work yesterday or what. So much bad vibe flying around. Good, bad, or indifferent, I defy you to find one person out there who won't go next year because of any of this. When Jimmy is 80 years old and needs a teleprompter to remember the words to his own songs like Sinatra we will all still be there because it is the experience as much as the music that brings us all back year after year.
Phins up to all of you and see you both nights at Nissan. I can't wait

What the hell was this show..."Duets: Clint and Jimmy"???? My God, Bubba is failing fast. After 21 shows I have to say they are winding down more quickly every year. I'm just shocked that the man is willing to give up "center stage" for Clint. I just got tickets to see Jerry Jeff back home in Dallas. Anymore, he puts on a much better show than Jimmy and the ticket price? 11 bucks 6 rows from the stage. A far cry from $60 plus to see Jimmy and his half-••• attempts to put on a good show. See what Seagram's, Krispy Kreme, and corporate America will get you Jimmy? Have you no shame???? After 16 years of being a parrothead the feathers are getting ruffled...time to get back to the basics...I can't take it anymore.

I had a great time except that there was a little too much country and not enough of the islands. I like a little more Caribbean spice in my music.

I'm so disappointed in all of you that call yourself fans and then write in with these mean comments. You try touring for 30 years trying to keep every fan happy! I don't think Jimmy is the problem. It's his fans that are forgetting why we all love Buffett music in the first place. I think we should quit criticizing Jimmy's decisions and just enjoy the music like we used to!

What a bunch of whiny, ruthless critics. The show was great,I've never seen a bad one (over 50 shows).I can't understand all the bitching and moaning about Clint and the set list.Go to the show, sit back, relax, sing, dance and enjoy what you are there for. JB the show was great and I think it's safe to say that at least 99% of the crowd loved the show.Parrotheads - Get the **** over it.

I agree with the last two. I didn't really want that much clint but i'd prefer him over most since he is a big jb fan. I can imagine is enjoyment to sing jb songs with the man himself. I heard clint is going to both pittsburgh shows and althouogh i'd rather see just jimmy and i'll go see clint enjoy him and have a great time. Lets stop the whining parrotheads its not very phan like. ~~^~~ Finz Up

I was at the show. I've been a fan for 25 years and I thought the show was fantastic. Do the songs always have to sound exactly like the recordings? It was fresh and exciting and the sound system was the best ever. Enjoy these shows while you can. Who knows if he'll tour again.Have a great summer.

Jimmy has needed a teleprompter all of his career, but it's what makes his shows alive. However, I do have to agree with many of you: Clint Black may be one hell of a Country singer, long time parrothead, and excellent golfer, but he's no Jack Kennedy!

Donna Todd,
I agree with you. While I wasn't at the show, the setlist seemed to be filled with Buffett's more country songs. I like the carribean and newer songs. We'll see how Pine Knob is. If I'm impressed it's off to Cincy...If not, anyone need 8 lawn tickets?

PHINS UP!!!!
Please allow me to voice a few opinions my phellow phans. If you were there, I was the gentleman with the large blue sherrif hat.
First lets deal with the parking lot. Having been to 20+ concerts from Meadows, to Jones Beach to VA and especially GREAT WOODS...the tailgate was very weak. I am only 22 years old but as mentioned above I felt old as well. Managed to find some nice Philly phans to help me stay in touhc wiht my insanity. Just can not wait till Labor Day Weekend Show at Great Woods for a real tailgate. Was blessed with a few fly bys from Hemisphere Dancer though.
Second, thought that Mac and Fingers were sorely missed. The set list was very good. Would have liked to hear Tin Cup Chailce, Ace, SOASOAS, Pacing the Cage, Paris, among others. BUt no complaints at all. Loved hearing Tryin to Reason, Gypsies, and We are the People, and Treat Her Like a Lady. Really enjoyed the set.
As for Clint. Nice touch. Not bad considering that Jimmy had to find someone to fill the large shoes of FIngers and MAc. Oh yeah, missed in the City as the 2nd set open with city scenes.
However, I did have a problem with the crowd. Maybe partially related to the parking lot scene. I had my purple silk Hawaiian shirt stolen and someone try to fight my 17yr old cousin because he sat in seats they wanted.
But, anyways, thanks again Jimmy and all you phans....loved the show....see you saturday, and down in MD....more importantly...see you Labor Day Weekend!!!
PHINS ARE DEFINITELY UP!!!!

I've been to 30+ shows over the last 20 years and despite the absences of Fingers and Mac, I thought last night's show was probably as good as any other show I've seem. I thought that Great Heart was a cool way to open, If It All Falls Down was a great closing number in the second set, and Slow Boat to China was awesome as a finale. It seems that some prior posters seem set on finding fault because the show wasn't right off Feeding Frenzy or Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays or because Fingers and Mac weren't around. I don't want to see the same show year after year and welcome the opportunity to hear Jimmy go in slightly different directions. I had a great time and I can't wait for Saturday night.
