57 Chevy's ???

Post by IAHawki »

Does anyone know how to make this drink? It has been years since I have had one and can't seem to find a recipe that fits what I think it should be? :-?

Help, anyone...

The one that I remember from years ago when I worked at a 50s and 60s place...

1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort
1/2 oz triple sec
Pineapple juice

We also had one called a Golden 57 Chevy made with Grand Marnier instead of the triple sec.

Not sure if this is what you remember. Many times there are just many local and regional recipes.
Well I’m a tidal pool explorer
From the days of my misspent youth
I believe that down on the beach
Where the seagulls preach
Is where the Chinese buried the truth...

Sounds like it. The places that I have tried to order one they have put tequila in it and others put sloe gin in them.

Thanks for your help.
