Victoria was too, especially around David's age. That's when we finally instituted no getting up 'til everyone is done. She has ALWAYS had to ask to be excused anyway. That was the year we put into effect the "no TV on school nights" rule as well. That was a toughy.

Exactly! But we'll still have pets so that we don't have to soil the carpets ourselves.

every night during dinner he gets up to go to the bathroom....even if he went just before.....we told him that was the only reason he was to get up during dinner.....guess even at 6 they learn to bend rules. and what am i going to do, tell him he can't go?
After one or two false starts
I believe we found our stride
And the walls that won’t come down
We can decorate or climb or find some way to get around
Cause I’m still on your side
From the bottom of my heart

I tried that one.. mom would make sure I went right before dinner.. then I wasn't allowed to have lots to drink so that I would make it thru

buffettbride wrote: well, of course!! it's especially funny since grampa has lost his hearing and evidently also control of his anus 'cause he farts and doesn't even know it. i guess when you're 80, that's allowed.
I also think it has to do w/ the fact that since THEY can't hear it, they don't think anyone else can either. One day this person (not mentioning any names) was standing there talking to me, farting away. I"m like.... WHOEVERITWAS, what are you doing? And they said... oh, I'm so sorry, I couldn't hear it, so I didn't think you could either.

ya I live exactly an hour away from my parents. but only 15 minutes from my sister.
I live alone and love it (so much so, I don't know how I'll ever get married). But I live very close to ma n sis. I wanna move 8 hours away.....but I'm scared. But I really hate Baltimore.....
What's wrong with Charm City? Fells Point and Jimmy's for breakfast at 3a.. The view of the Inner Harbour, a beer at "The Horse You Rode In On", a game at The Yards now that you can get a ticket..
TOO COLD! I gotta go where it's warm!

Actually love it more than I ever could have realized. Sometimes it's hard to find the balance between alone time and being out, but overall, it's pretty awesome!

Besides, I am too much a pain in the ass to have a roomie at this age :D
right!!!

what you need is a Cabana boy. :D :D
You offering??!! :wench:
I'll bring you fresh fruit and chocolate.. :D

Blue's Clues nightlights aren't a great big help either.
Well I’m a tidal pool explorer
From the days of my misspent youth
I believe that down on the beach
Where the seagulls preach
Is where the Chinese buried the truth...
