A while back members had posted a link to amazon that said The Buffett/George Strait/Alan Jackson concert from 2004 in Dallas was belng released as a live CD set on Feb. 17th of this year. A few other sites had it on "back order" ANyone heard any updates on this???

I noticed while playing on amazon the other day that they have the offical release date for some of the live albums as early as 2000 - funny considering the fact that the shows themselves didn't take place until 2003. Does this mean we'll have to wait until 2009 for the Texas show?

Unfortunately, a lot of the online merchants will reserve space on their site for any album that's even rumored to be coming out, because they want to make sure that if the album is truly being released they have at least a page available to customers that come snooping for more information. A lot of times this leads to TBD "ghost" pages of albums and releases that never see the light of day.

In this particular case I can't say what the deal is, but the scenario you described sounds like one of two things: 1) what I mentioned above or 2) the album is being released by Mailboat Records. 8)

No news on the release. It was listed on many music news sites as well as merchants. But Keith Stegall, Alan Jackson's producer, had on his website that he was producing it. But that's all I've gotten so far.....

And, in the preshow interview at Wrigley Field on Labor Day, Utley mentioned that he was producing it, and it was "in the works.'
