Pat played Song Writers Lament, I'm not sure though if thats what you mean.sonofabeach wrote:kinda suprising to me considering the anti-Jimmy song that Fingers participated in with ....the name escapes me.
But then I guess nothing should suprise ya in showbidness!!
Great news!!!
It's a little corny sounding and basically about how it's not the same without Fingers.

How does anyone know if this reggae cut of Floridays wasn't cut back when the "original" Floridays album was cut.Four Play wrote:Maybe this is one of the surprises JB was referring to when he called in to RM...
It would be GREAT to have Fang back in the band, but i'm not getting my hopes up!

Don't forget Roger Waters and David Gilmour reuniting for Pink Floyd.Jahfin wrote:Lots of things along this line have been happening as of late such as Bill Berry showing up on stage with R.E.M. after "retiring" in 1997, the Replacements reforming (if only for a couple of new songs) and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd (past and present) performing at this year's Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies with nary a fisticuff. Things I honestly thought I'd never see. I guess the thing with "Fingers" and Buffett is they go back so far together, I can only imagine they couldn't stay mad at each other forever (if indeed that is the case).sonofabeach wrote:kinda suprising to me considering the anti-Jimmy song that Fingers participated in with ....the name escapes me.

Now this is very interesting...Is Fingers scheduled for any other shows that would synch up to the PATEOTW dates and locations???Burny Charles wrote: As far as Fingers being on stage with Jimmy again, I think it's very possible considering Fingers is scheduled to play at Coney Island on June 8th. Coney Island is part of the Riverbend complex.
Just the speculation of seeing the two of them together again is fantastic.
ok, fact check
1) Fingers leaves > enter the expanded horns section
2) exit the expanded horns section...
3) PHjim confirms Fingers is on the HOOT soundtrack
4) Fingers is playing pre-Buffett concert party next to Riverbend afternoon of June 8th
definitely makes you go Hmmmmmmmm
my fins are crossed

you can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning

That is great news!
Now maybe you won't get chastised for bringing up his name in here.
Fingers always was and always will be my favorite Reefer. Not my favorite personality, but my favorite musician past or present.
And I've missed the harp in JB's music since it was removed.
I can only hope the Harpoon Man will be on the tour.

Delete them to make room for the Dallas thread???

My first Buffett concert was August 22, 2000 so I have never seen Fingers perform with Jimmy. This would be a dream come true for me. Unfortunately it is the first time in 4 years I have to miss the Cincy show because of work. Just my luck.....keeping fins crossed for a Fingers/Jimmy Party at the End of the World.Gypsy In The Palace wrote:April 15, 2000 in Las Vegas.

Great news!!!
In the strangest of pairings David Gilmour was joined by David Crosby and Graham Nash on the opening night of his solo tour in NYC:
