Maybe this is one of the surprises JB was referring to when he called in to RM...
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Great news!!!
I did see Fingers play with Pat Dailey about 4 years ago. Pat played Song Writers Lament, I'm not sure though if thats what you mean.
I just remembered. It's KD Moore's "Jimmy Say It Aint So"
It's a little corny sounding and basically about how it's not the same without Fingers.

I have a serious question: when was Fingers' last live concert with Jimmy? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers this question.

How does anyone know if this reggae cut of Floridays wasn't cut back when the "original" Floridays album was cut.
It would be GREAT to have Fang back in the band, but i'm not getting my hopes up!

Lots of things along this line have been happening as of late such as Bill Berry showing up on stage with R.E.M. after "retiring" in 1997, the Replacements reforming (if only for a couple of new songs) and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd (past and present) performing at this year's Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies with nary a fisticuff. Things I honestly thought I'd never see. I guess the thing with "Fingers" and Buffett is they go back so far together, I can only imagine they couldn't stay mad at each other forever (if indeed that is the case).
Don't forget Roger Waters and David Gilmour reuniting for Pink Floyd.

Burny Charles wrote: As far as Fingers being on stage with Jimmy again, I think it's very possible considering Fingers is scheduled to play at Coney Island on June 8th. Coney Island is part of the Riverbend complex. :D
Now this is very interesting...Is Fingers scheduled for any other shows that would synch up to the PATEOTW dates and locations???

Just the speculation of seeing the two of them together again is fantastic.
ok, fact check
1) Fingers leaves > enter the expanded horns section
2) exit the expanded horns section...
3) PHjim confirms Fingers is on the HOOT soundtrack
4) Fingers is playing pre-Buffett concert party next to Riverbend afternoon of June 8th

definitely makes you go Hmmmmmmmm :pirate:

That is great news!
Now maybe you won't get chastised for bringing up his name in here.

Fingers always was and always will be my favorite Reefer. Not my favorite personality, but my favorite musician past or present.
And I've missed the harp in JB's music since it was removed.

I can only hope the Harpoon Man will be on the tour.

I was blown away last night when I saw that the thread was up to 297 pgs. :o You guys are doing some serious planning. Hats off to all of you, especially Fourplay.

My first Buffett concert was August 22, 2000 so I have never seen Fingers perform with Jimmy. This would be a dream come true for me. Unfortunately it is the first time in 4 years I have to miss the Cincy show because of work. Just my luck.....keeping fins crossed for a Fingers/Jimmy Party at the End of the World.

..and Rick Wright and Nick Mason. And Cream reuniting.

In the strangest of pairings David Gilmour was joined by David Crosby and Graham Nash on the opening night of his solo tour in NYC:
