Fingers.
Let's start a betting pool. Who thinks Fingers is going to be back on the road with the Buff?
I'm thinking he wouldn't. I have heard you can make more money touring with small bands than with the Coral Reefer Band.

I'm since been informed it may not necessarily have anything to do with Key West, that was just my first thought when hearing the name.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:I'm interested to hear the title cut.Jahfin wrote:I know the tour name has already been dissected to death but I'm pretty sure he was thinking of Key West when he came up with it. Well i think if thats a recent recording of Floridays, Fingers will be on tour with Jimmy.Bwana Paul wrote:Let's start a betting pool. Who thinks Fingers is going to be back on the road with the Buff?

Look at both tour schedules.....................Looks promising!
Hope you are back, Fang!

Jahfin,
What does you new source say the idea of the title is now?

And, if I'm not mistaking, doesn't Jimmy's voice sound more refined...Similiar to his recent recordings, rather than the ones in the 80's?jbfinscj wrote:crawfish wrote:How does anyone know if this reggae cut of Floridays wasn't cut back when the "original" Floridays album was cut.Four Play wrote:Maybe this is one of the surprises JB was referring to when he called in to RM...
It would be GREAT to have Fang back in the band, but i'm not getting my hopes up!

SOME WHITE PEOPLE CAN DANCE!
I highly doubt that it was recorded back in the 1980's. If that was the case why did Jimmy ommit certain lyrics and yes I know technology would allow you to remove a portion of the song. I am sorry, but I am sure that the song was rerecorded recently. Now with that being said I am not 100% sure just yet that it is Fingers on the album. Heres hoping though.

I understand there's nothing real deep to the meaning at all, it's just an allusion to partying with no worries.

I agree and I'm sure Buffett has to figure such things will be the topic of conversation among his fanbase, therefore increasing interest in the tour and upcoming album. No one ever accused him of not being a wise businessman.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:Jahfin wrote:Oops, finger fart there.

Of course this is only my own speculation.... but....
Last summer my husband and I were still living in Reno. One of our good friends, Garratt Wilkin, of Garratt Wilkin and the Parrotheads, was performing for a new winery in California. Fingers also attended and performed with Garratt. We had a wonderful time at this event! Got to sit and talk with Fingers for a long time. One of the things Greg said to me about ever rejoining Buffett, "well, you just never know". I had the strange feeling it was going to happen.
Greg had not one bad thing to say about Jimmy. Which surprised me since I've heard so many rumors and expected to hear the dirt. He's a really great guy and when it came to talking bizzness, he was totally professional. If this new rumor of him touring again with Jimmy is true, I say - "It's about fricking time!" Good luck Greg!

I think that whatever happens, this little tidbit of news has done wonders for all of us. I am seeing nothing but luv.
Additionally, at least I can now realistically dream of going to a show with my two daughters and holding them while we sway back and forth to the real version of APLAF, and maybe, just maybe, they'll finally get what could be a once in a lifetime chance to understand it all.

I haven't heard any rumors of "Fingers" rejoining Buffett for his upcoming tour but I have seen people speculate that it's possible since it's been confirmed that "Fingers" is playing on the Hoot soundtrack.Minty wrote:If this new rumor of him touring again with Jimmy is true, I say - "It's about fricking time!"
