Coleslaw: Do or Don't?

Post by buffettbride »

Had some today at lunch with my fish and chips. It always looks like it's gonna taste good, but a few bites remind me that I don't like it.

Some, like me, like to eat it as long as it has lots of slaw dressing in it.

Others....(like at Bike Week in Daytona) like to wrestle in it. Which do you mean?

My mom's is awesome! Strands of cabbage as opposed to chopped, in some sorta homemade mayo dressing.

I also like KFC's, and assorted others, including an oil based at a local joint, instead of the "traditional" ?? with mayo.

However, some completely gross me out, and they're normally a mushy variety.

really like to put a mayo based slaw on a shredded pork BBQ sandwich, it is also very good on an Oyster Po Boy.

Don't some people like coleslaw on their hot dogs too? I personally don't care for it... just lots of mustard OR chili & cheese & onions. YUM! :D

That was a total contradiction, my Portuguese-Irish friend.

I like it, but it has to be coarse shredded strands as JoAnn says, with carrot and some onion, too. Miracle Whip.

I eat sauerkraut too, but there's something about plain cabbage. I can't make myself eat it.
