Coleslaw somewhat led us to this, so whaddya think?

Do you like sauerkraut or not?

I like it on most kinds of pork, but my favorite is all over a brat with mustard. YUMMMMMM!!!

I LOVE sauerkraut! It doesn't help that I am a kraut myself! :) It's best when you mix in a bit of brown sugar into it. It takes a bit of the tartness away and makes it extra yummy! :)

I like it raw or cooked! There are many descendants of German settlers on the south shore of Nova Scotia who still make it for sale! It is so far superior to bottled!

Mmm....a nice pork roast and sauerkraut done in the pressure cooker for about 2 hours until the sauerkraut is golden brown. *drool*
Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..

Yes, but only sometimes. It has to be on a Brat that's been grilled. I really don't like it any other way.

OK Mal.. I have a funny sauerkraut story

we were at Candlestick park.. gameday in line for the bleachers.
this guy comes by and he is trying to get the park to
buy his Brauts so in order to help he is giving away
coupons for them at the stands..
We have a D/D so the beer is already being poured.
all days sauerkraut, onions and beer :pirate: :pirate:
we were given 4 or 5 coupons each. and for beer too.
SOOOOOO on the way home.. Yup. the Farts hit .....everyone in the rig
I mean OMG so we drive and open all the windows
even the one in back (*blazer) .....AND get pulled over
(I guess for the back window) just as the officer
is almost up to the drivers window someone
let one go.. followed by another.. He just looked like he stepped
in cow pie and walked back to his car and drove off..
:D :D :D

I like it in both forms... sour and sweet.
And cold or warmed, come to think of it!
My dad used to buy the canned juice to use as a laxative. :x

Do you just add sugar to the bottled, or do you rinse it first?
