Without caffeine I couldn't function. I have mild Adult Attention Deficit Disorder.....many folks with AADD 'self medicate' with caffeine....it's a stimulant...but works the opposite certain brain chemistries.
I drink too much diet coke....trying to cut back on the nutrasweet....so hardly sweetened white tea it's been for awhile.
I have GERD as well....I have to love my protonix!!

Bottled water is good for you. If you need tea try decaffeinated green tea with splenda. I feel the best I have have felt in years. I have been off coffee and regular black tea for over a year now and I dranked four or five tall cups of coffee each day (the strong StarBucks) and then two or three glasses of tea in the evening.

A good friend that Victoria goes to school with has a very mild case of ADHD. They give her about 1/2 can of soda or 1/2 cup of coffee/tea in the morning and it will control it most of the day. Seems to work pretty well. I never really noticed it before until I was at 2 different early-morning volleyball games; one game she had had caffeine before and was very focused and ready and the other game she was on some totally different planet.Soraya wrote:Without caffeine I couldn't function. The acids in Coca-Cola make it harmful to drink. FALSE"
http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/acid.asp This link deal with the idea that they use coke to clean blood off the streets.
This link also deal with the spam email that silly idea comes from:

My 'keet also has a mild case.....she gets one of those 'mini cans' of Mountain Dew in the morning most days. I am trying to get her to develop a taste for mildly sweetened ice tea....rather then the pop.buffettbride wrote:A good friend that Victoria goes to school with has a very mild case of ADHD. My husband thought I was NUTS when I started giving Mountain Dew to Rock....she hardly ever gets pop....but her teacher has noticed the difference, so we know think it is worth it.
I haven't had much caffiance today...and my brain is going a MILE an minute....lol.....thinking about having a big glass of white tea (maybe with a but of rum?

You can use ketsup on battery posts too- it's not really hard to get off.Soraya wrote:http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/cokelore.aspjhamel wrote:But coke is bad for you also. Not just the caffeine. Cops use coke to clean blood of the streets. Try coke to rid the corrision off of battery posts.

Yep. I talked to the friend's parents (they are also good friends of ours) and she said their child's teacher suggested it. She treats her own kid the same way during the summer, although I think he gets actual meds during the school year.Soraya wrote:My 'keet also has a mild case.....she gets one of those 'mini cans' of Mountain Dew in the morning most days. Addicted or mild add! Though you just may be young...my hubby swears that caffeine never effected his sleeping either...until he hit 35.SomedayIWILL wrote:I think you could say Im hooked on Iced coffee.....at least 3 med's a day and a large....all have to have espresso in it.....
