Haven't had a chance to listen yet but my wife bought it this morning.

Fingers has two credits:
Floridays
Werewolves of London

Tom Ball is credited playing harmonica on Happy Endings

sure hope Fingers will show up tonight and be a regular this year :pirate:

There are some good songs on the soundtrack, a couple I'll omit from my playlist.
I'm just happy to have some new Buffett music.

I am not a happy camper....

Used my lunch to go to Wally World, but the "lady who brings the CDs" doesn't show up until 2:00.....

The clerk rolled her eyes like this was the 100th time she'd answered that question this morning.....

There's gotta be an indie music store within 10 miles.... I'm going to FIND it after work....

Nice to see Fingers get credited!! :D

shhhhhh......... don't say that near PHAW...... :o :o

The only indie store around doesn't have it. No best buy or circuit city within 20 miles, so I'll try Wally World again after work.....

I must have missed something...did PHAW have a bad Best Buy experience?

That would be my review as well-not all the songs are going on the IPOD, but it is awfully nice to have a few new things!

I like it!

I agree that not all the songs are going on my iPod but I more than half are. I like the tropical feel of most of the songs.

Man, oh man, I *really* like hearing Fingers' harp!

Wondering Where the Lions Are is an excellent song, clean guitar, Sonny sounds great, just a hint of steel drums, I like this one.

No mistaking Fingers, his harmonica has an edge on Werewolves.

Good Guys is contagious and Happy Ending has a good flow to it.

I was at the mall earlier today and almost bought it for $19.99.
Then I used my brain for once and decided to try Circuit City where I got it for $9.99

It's not bad as some have said or even as bad as I said after hearing samples. I'd like Floridays a whole lot better if it were the full version but it's still pretty good. A much more tropical feel than the original.
Good Guy Win and Wondering Where The Lions Are are good too.
Musically Werewolves of London is not as bad as originally thought.
Even Jimmy's voice sounds fine.
Thing is, it's hard to make a song that I always thought sucked sound great.

As a former MC I can say that G love sucks.
About the only non Jimmy songs that I like are Lovely Day,Funky Kingston, and Happy Ending even though it's primarily Reefers.
After reading the credits I see that it's Tom Ball on Happy Ending and not Fingers Taylor.
All in all a pretty good buy for 10 bucks

It didn't dawn on me until this morning listening to the cd for the third time that he took a verse out of Floridays. I guess the Beirut thing wasn't family friendly?

I posted this in another thread, but here goes:

Wondering Where The Lions Are - I like Bruce Cockburn's original better, but this is a really good song
Back Of The Bus - bottom of the barrel
Barefootin' - not great, not terrible, not much
Florida - I wasn't impressed
Werewolves Of London - I like Warren Zevon's original version but this is just horrid, it sounds like JB phoned it in
Let Your Spirit Fly - I never heard of Ry Cuming before, I don't expect to ever hear of him again
Floridays - it's starting to grow on me
Coming Around - Brie Larson's contract must have contained a clause saying if she acted in the movie she would have a chance to embarrass herself by trying to sing
Funky Kingston - good song but I won't add it to my iPod because I already have it
Good Guys Win - like Barefootin', not great, not terrible, not much
Lovely Day - the target audience of the movie is kids so I'm assuming Maroon 5 is popular with kids, that's the only reason to include this talent-free whiny ass band on the soundtrack; Bill Withers wrote the song, they should have let him sing it instead of being relegated to backup vocals with his daughter
Happy Ending - I'm glad it's over

I guess I can understand omitting the Beirut verse but what was so wrong with the "The dreamers line the state road" verse?
