Hoot Soundtrack

Post by cajunpirate »

Anybody else having problems finding it? I figured I'd pick it up at lunch. Popped over to FYE in Midtown, NYC (6th Ave), no dice. Headed over to Trump Towers and the Tower Records downstairs, and, nada.

I guess I'll try Virgin Megastore in Times Square on my walk to Port Authority at the end of the day. Really wanted to listen to it during the second half of my day at work, though.

Did you ask a clerk? Maybe its just sitting in the back, and they haven't put it out yet. You are looking under Soundtracks for the "H" section and not where the Buffett cds are I assume?

I got mine at that evil Wal*Mart too. I told them Circuit City had them for 9.99, so they matched the price.

The new Floridays is really starting to grow on me..

I was in the soundtrack section, although I did check out the Buffett section and the 'new music this week' display, and no luck. I should have asked. Maybe it was in the back.

Folks, you are not alone. I am in Harrisburg, PA until Wednesday and during my lunch break I decided to go shopping. I went to the FYE at the Harrisburg Mall and they didn't even order a single copy in. Afterwards I drove up to the Wal Mart near Hershey and spent fifteen minutes searching. Luckily I came across ONE copy burried in the "B" section behind the Batman Forever :o soundtrack. They definitly didn't market this album very well. However with that being said it was one of the feature items in the Circuit City circular back home in Altoona on Sunday.

Our Wallyworld had an endcap display that had the books and the cd. Very prominently displayed in the electronics section.

I went to the Best Buy near me---could not find it. The guy I asked could not find it, nor was it showing up on the computer, but he asked somebody else, and they found it in back, in a box that had just arrived this morning---remember it is Mailboat Records, after all!!!

Just got back from the Wal-Mart closest to me & they didn't have it

Will try another store after I p/u my son from school.
I'd like to go the Wal-Mart route since it's supposed to have a Bonus DVD with it.
Can anyone who has bought theirs at Wally World confirm the Bonus DVD?
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

No bonus DVD, but there is multimedia stuff that you can play on your computer. This reminds me of the time when the first batch of "Live in" CD's were released. Remember 95% of us couldn't find them and the few that did only found one copy of Live in Las Vegas at their Wal Marts and K-Marts.

Hmmm.... the Wal-Mart web site says it has the Bonus DVD.
I wonder if that will be forthcoming?

No bonus DVD here, but there is video on the CD, I think. The Disc cover says "Includes enhanced video - exclusive footage of Jimmy and the Owls" (is that a new band? <- pointing out the joke to those here are humor challenged - you know who you are...)

I would have thought that there would have been more of an uproar about the difficulty of finding the soundtrack....could it be we are mellowing out in our old age? :o

Went to a Best Buy here in Chicago's burbs first and they didn't have any out. Couldn't find anyone to ask so I headed 4 doors down to Circiut City and they had a couple of copies filed under Buffett.
