ok if you had your choice of albums, which 4 song album set would you want to see?
these were the first to come to mind and for me, it's a toss up between A1A and SOASOAS
any other recommendations? different songs, other albums?
SOASOAS
Coast of Marseilles
Cowboy in the Jungle
Mañana
African Friend
CILCIA
Wonder Why We Ever Go Home
Banana Republics
Lovely Cruise
Landfall
Floridays
Floridays
If It All Falls Down
No Plane on Sunday
When the Coast Is Clear
OPH
Stars on the Water
California Promises
We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us About
Twelve Volt Man
A1A
Migration
Trying to Reason With Hurricane Season
Nautical Wheelers
Tin Cup Chalice

I would like this idea a lot better if it meant 4 less songs from SYKBH at every show.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

yeah, I didn't include the staple SYKBH in these, I figure they're a given but I definitely agree with you.

or maybe even worse LTC
there are some good songs but we've heard enough of them over the last 2 tours
It's a great idea as long as we get to dust off some some classics that have been rarely played in recent years

Since he's got way more albums than tour stops, I have to think that the more recent albums might not be on the table for this one.... (much as I'd like to hear FSOTW....)

But that's the way he sang it on tour when he redid it.

That's a greatest hit(s) collection, not a proper album. Same for

I'm not positive but I sure hope my choices wouldn't be limited only to the five albums listed in the poll.

That is my point...if he is going to highlight songs from an album, play them the way they were recorded on the album!

no Jah, I can think of great sets from White Sport Coat, 3/4 Time, Havana Daydreamin', Cocotel, Volcano, Barometer Soup, Banana Wind, and on and on.
Just thought I'd limit my post to these.
what would be your preference?

I think I would like to see A1A... although as already mentioned, as long as he is playing I'm ok with anything... even if it was all SYKBH, I'd be a little dissapointed, but I'd still have a great time....

Although I agree with the cutesy bit or Buffett hollering the lyrics for emphasis rather than singing them, I'd also surely hope he wouldn't perform the songs just as they are on the albums. There's enough "artists" out there doing that already. The reason I attend concerts to start with is to hear songs performed live, not note for note as they appear on the records.
