pre-paid tailgate parties?

Post by justinnycny »

i have seen a few sites that list tickets for tailgate parties which have food, drinks, etc.
Has anyone done this? seems like it might be a waste.. In the past i have noticed the whole parking lot is a party!
I will be at camden, Jones Beach and Boston. Hope to see you all there!

I would do it for an "over the road" show, but not for my home venue.

It depends on what you're into. Most PH clubs have an event like that. It's usually more subdued than the rest of the lot, but not always. The Indy club's are ok, but offsite, whereas the Orlando club's party in 2002 was fantastic (I think it was $20 pp for unlimited Corona, Cap'n and Coke and margaritas, cheeseburgers and really good gumbo- but the club members cooked rather than having it catered). I would do that again in Orlando the next time I go back (because you can either make friends or just take your stuff back to your car), but I wouldn't do the Indy club thing if I didn't know people there already.

i did the one from paulsontours.com last year for philly because I only was able to fly in for the show for one day and it went very well kept going back to refill my drinks but for the most part roamed the parking lot and partied with the buffett newsers
Both shows at Greatwoods in June
Seattle and Vegas in October

I'd guess you'd have a better time hooking up with the BNers at each show! And that is easy enough to do, just keep an eye on the "Who's Going To..." threads.

BNers should never have to pay to join a tailgate, bring a lot of booze sure, but never pay! :D

My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!
