Now back to tailgating plans! I saw a decent canopy for cheap today at Ekards....wondering if this would be a good idea for some shade.
I'll have my EZ-Up at our Tail-gate, but the more shade the better. Anyone thought about a port-a-jon or is anyone bringing an RV?
We don't need no stinkin' shade!! :pirate:

Seriously, hubby and I are sunlovers of the highest order. As long as we have sunblock, shades and a hat, it's all good! I don't know if there's going to be enough of us to worry about a porta-potty and I haven't heard anything about any RV's yet. I have been wondering if I should bring the ol' "Freshette Director" though...... .....don't ask, ya don't wanna know!

You should be very, very proud of your daughter, Soraya! You can laugh all the way to the bank when she's going to college on a full scholarship!

I'm calling Verizon this morning and asking if they'll be putting any port-a-jon's out.
The RBC Center in Raleigh has put them out tin the past but I'll try to find out.
Maybe if we pressure them with phone calls or emails they'll order up more than most venues.
Waitning in line is NO FUN!!!

When posting the thread about checking out the new banner, I neglected to acknowledge our source. :o

mornin' phriends, I have to say that Dallas show last night was the best one yet. I was listening to the opening guitar line thinking, "is that...no it couldn't be..wait a second...HOLY S*#T!!!! THAT'S MIGRATION!!!" :o :P

That's my dad's favorite song and my folks were there to hear it live. I can't wait to hear what Jimmy has planned for us. 8) And with most of the month off, they'll have plenty of time to work up a few songs to mix it up some more

Wow....the banner looks great, Cocotel, and so does the avatar. As you can see, I have never gone to the trouble to even try to figure out how to post one. I'm glad you were able to figure it out. If I ever get in the mood to pick out a picture to post, I know just where to go for instruction now! Thanks again for taking care of the banner.

I'm glad Mrs. Cocotel felt well enough to go out and have a little fun this weekend. Hubby and I had a rip-roaring good time at the beach power washing the house...oh boy, oh boy! A job well done but I'm glad to hear someone enjoyed their weekend....I hope everyone else did as well!

Later, y'all!

Penny has walked many a novice through the process in an adjacent forum... I'm sure she could help both you and bubba phan... They don't call her Queenie for nothin'!

Here's the thread where she has helped others do it. It's in the "Announcements" forum, How to post a picture below my name (Avatar) http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16620

I've been to that site. Still can't do it. Is there a site called Avatars for Dummies? :-?

Will visit the site once again.

Hey Jill,
I posted a new thread in the Parrot head social area asking for help.
Quite a few responded to it and helped.
It just seems like it should be a whole lot easier but........ :o

Anyone out there planning any games, activites, etc. ?

Hey there everyone,

Got lured into the BN'r of the day thread today!! :o

Oh well, it's not that bad.

Just a quick stop by to say hello before lunch.

Soraya, how's the phone list coming along?
Is there anything any of us can do to help with it?

Does anyone have any special plans for games, etc.?

After looking at the pics from "Hoot Island" we've got to REALLY get on the ball here!!! LOL Looks like they had a great time and I'm sure we'll have just as much fun. Made me jealous that they had already gotten to see him but yet, it means we still have something to look forward to!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Hey Cocatel,

I found a great deal on an inflatable limbo set, but I'm trying to find a wooden one. The inflatables are very inexpensive....I work in advertising specialties, so I can get them at cost.
Just let me know what you think, and I will order it.

Also I wanted to see what you might think about doing some stadium cups with the same logo as the great banner that you did.
I also can do those at cost.....I'm in the process of checking to see how much they would be on a self promo.
I'm not sure that I can donate the whole order, it would depend on how many we would need, but I think it would be a great souvenir.
Just a thought....Let me know what you think.

Sounds great to me Kerri.
See if you can knock down costs and we'll post it here to the group.

The banner is on me.

I was thinking of possibly some contests with small prizes for games, etc.

I'll be there at noon, setting up, cooking but more importantly to get our banner up so people who want to join the party will see where we are.

I'm going to need some help from everyone out there these next few weeks. My wife is closing in on her bone marrow transplant date and I'll probably not be on the board as much between May 10 - May 24.

Any ideas, plans etc. , please post them.
