Watch me get flamed...

Just because Jimmy puts out an album (all his or only partially his) does not mean I have to buy it. I only bought "Live in...Hawaii" of the "Live in" series and from what I hear and have read, I'm not missing anything.

I am a fan who happens to own nearly 50 JB CDs, (studio, live and otherwise recorded), but I don't feel I need every note recorded by JB.

Fire away.

I don't own Hoot. I was going to buy it and then read some of the reviews and think I might just stick with iTunes. :pirate:

Thanks for posting, BJ. My interest in running the poll was to understand the different perspectives BNers have around "Hoot" since it's not a typical JB album.

I bought the CD - most of it I don't care for, but Wondering Where the Lions are and Good Guys win I REALLY like. I was also skeptical about the redo of Floridays, but it's growing on me quickly. The rest of it is ok - reminds me of watching the movie, as I was lucky enough to have tickets to the premier simulcast in Westlake, OH a couple of weeks ago. Once you've seen the movie, you kind of see how the songs fit in. I loved the movie. 8)

I want to see the movie first. I bought the soundtrack to DEEP THROAT, but I made sure that I did see the movie first.

I bought it, and the more I listen to it, the more I like it.

....but I've also seen the movie - twice.

Yes, I bought the Hoot soundtrack...I like it a lot! My favorites are Wondering Where the Lions Are, Good Guys Win and Floridays. I also like most of the other songs...being an educator I am happy to have more JB music to play in class!!!

I like most of it. "Wondering Where the Lions Are" really speaks to me. There are always certain songs I associate with certain times in my life and that song will always remind me of where I am at now. JB actually sounds good singing it and the lyrics are soulful. The Floridays track is great and so is the instrumental. "Lovely Day" and "Coming Around" are good too! "Back of the Bus" is not my style, but I work in inner city Cincy, the riot capitol of Ohio, so you can imagine why I feel that way. A little too rap-esque for me.

Just got home from Wal-Mart with the soundtrack, and I am not too sure about the Back of the Bus, but otherwise worth my doubloons.

I really like Barefootin'
