I'm making the assumption that's a rhetorical question??

Yup
One day they will admit the the Yankees are Ortiz's little b****

Of course if it did happen (not that I would want Ortiz for A-Rod), all of Red Sox nation would forget the years he spent here and would be heckled for being a traitor.
All I'm gonna say is that if Clemens returns to the Red Sox, he would not be considered a traitor here (and they did spend similar number of years in their old city).

But Wells was considered a Traitor
He came back with SD in 2004 and got cheered, he wanted to sign with NY the next off season
2005 and they told him no so he signed with Boston. His first game in NY as a Red Sox he got booed.
Once again, NYers being hypocrites.
Clemens was in Boston 13 years. His last game at Fenway as a Yankeee he got a standing ovation when he left the mound. If he comes back to Boston he will get booed in NY I have no doubt about it.

Torre is the biggest hypocrite. Him complaining about Sox fans booing Damon... apparently he forgot about Wells as well. By the way when Torre came back from prostate cancer in 99 he got a stading ovation at Fenway. Sox fans cheer when it's deserved and boo when it's deserved.

Torre also said Pedro was a headhunter....... in the same season Clemens throw at Millar's head, Clemens blamed Millar for being hit saying he was too slow to move out of the way. Torre seemed to over look this.

Any Yankee should be booed in Boston and any Red Sox should be booed in the Bronx. I don't look at booing as sign of disrespect. Quite the opposite many times. Some lesser known players wouldn't be booed as much. If John Flaherty would've stayed with the sox this season and no retired ( he hated being on the Sox as he said they treated him poorly. His words not mine), I don't think he would've been lustfully booed by Yankee fans since he was not a big component of anything.

Did John Flaherty say that this season or was he talking about his first tenure with the Red Sox?
You don't boo or cheer players, you boo and cheer the uniform. If Damon would have just shut up maybe he would have received a better welcome but all winter we heard him talk and talk about how bad the Red Sox management was and how he was disrespected. It also didn't help that last May, Damon said he had no interest in playing for NY his words
"I know NY will offer me more money but I don't care about that, I won't go there for more money that is not important" then when he signed with NY he said they gave him the better deal. I don't blame him for taking the extra $13M but I blame him for talking too much, he has no one to blame for being booed than himself.
I am still happy the Red Sox didn't pay him that much, I think he is overpaid, still a good player but over paid. $13M for a 2 time all star who had no arm and a bad shoulder is a lot of money, esp for 4 years. Just look at Bernie Williams.

When Clemens was on the Red Sox and Blue Jays, the Yankees thought he was a headhunter. When he was on the Yankees, throwing at guys was "part of the game." They made excuses when he hit Piazza in the head too. I guess it had nothing to do with the fact that Piazza owned him before he got hit.

RAGTOP, OL' BUDDY!
To show you what a great guy I am, I was in Wal Mart this morning, bought a Red Sox cap, and gave it to a homeless person.

He was talking about this time. He didn't say it publically ( I actually know him through a mutual friend). I was uspet he left because he was my ticket hook up. Now that he's on YES I don't think he gets the same perks but haven't asked him yet.
I understand you booing Damon without question. it's a tough pill to swallow when somebody who meant so much to the team and said he never would play for the Yanks does just that. i would've been upset if Bernie signed that contract with you all a few years ago ( when he was younger and better).

Agreed. Also you have to agree that most other players that get treated like Piazza did by Clemens ( beaning and bat throwing) should've charged gthe mound at least once. i don't advocate violence at all but c'mon show some guts. Fire up your team. Clemens is that way no doubt about it. I'd take him back in a heartbeat though.

ya they are being played for Joe Torre. He was the one who complained about the lack of respect Sox fans showed for Damon. Torre is getting soft and needs to grow some nuts.

Yes, it is the sound of the Yankees complaining about the umpires and marching down to MLB's office with tapes

Poor us.

After that game when Clemens threw the bat, Mike Hampton said if it happened to him there would have been a fight. I'm pretty sure Hampton was pitching that game for the Mets and he didn't have the stones to knock anybody down.
