Any Red Hot Chili Pepper fans?
I know their style of music couldnt be any more different that a Buffett-style music, but I was seeing if anyone had checked out ther new album. I'm actually not a big fan of theirs but absolutly cant stop listening to this new cd so I thought some people might want to check it out...there is a link below to listen.

I have heard the one single, Danny California, and really like that one. I will probably get the CD when it's released next week....just bought the new TOOL this week as well.parrothead338 wrote:I know their style of music couldnt be any more different that a Buffett-style music, but I was seeing if anyone had checked out ther new album. Blood Sugar Sex Magik - What's not to like? I really like their older stuff. Freaky Styley is fantastic, and George Clinton really did a good job producing that one for them. (I also like old George Clinton and Parliment). Jane's Addiction is another great group that has a simmilar feel to RHCP.
I've seen them both in concert way back in my "hazy" days (as well as George Clinton at a couple of Phish shows).

Nothing says that just because you're a Buffett fan that your tastes have to be limited to only his style of music (which actually covers a pretty broad spectrum).parrothead338 wrote:I know their style of music couldnt be any more different that a Buffett-style music

Love them! Love them! Love them!
Seeing them at Lollapalooza then probably in Grand Rapids in November. Only problem with their live shows is they don't include enough Mother's Milk and BSSM anymore.

Its a really good mixture of the two styles, but i would have to say its closer to californication. More mature sounding...its a great cd, def recomend picking it up.rednekkPH wrote:To those who have had a chance to listen - how is the new album? Is it more Californication or BSSM?
I hope that all the greedy bastards in the world
Come back as lobsters.
You know that life at the bottom of the food chain
Suits them well.
I think that all of the evil people of the world
Come back as horseflies,
They want one last bite before they're sent to hell.

Love the Chilli Peppers, love the new single and will get the new cd. One of the things that impresses me about them is their range of style. They are so diverse and yet it's not like they just jump onto new trends.

Navy Seals are Cooler then Pirates

You Can Dream Anyway, There's always next year!!!
