Thanks, bud.
Brahmafear, thanks for helping out. We won't be shipping things until later in the month...here are the shipping instructions from p. 1:
Shipping:
- Send all items directly to Crash in Iraq via USPS Priority Mail (PM me for address)
- Packages cannot exceed 110" max (L+W+D) (the flat rate box $8.50 is a good option)
- Provide a packing list with each package
- Post here what you plan to contribute (and a copy of each final packing list) so items can be matched to the wish list and so John knows what to expect
- Ship items between July 24-August 12

If I might add something to the shipping instructions. If you put a big BF on the box somewhere visible it will help distinguishing regular packages from BuffettFest packages.
Thanks all.

I thought you might enjoy seeing this...the front of this year's BuffettFest t-shirt will sport the following design...created by an army soldier stationed at Anaconda. FYI, the Air Force is the event's main on-site sponsor.

As with the event logo (posted previously, please do not use this logo for any commercial purposes).

In keeping with bravedave's poetic efforts from last years BuffettFest, I have become a lyricist. I have written parody lyrics to Jimmy's "Fins" and run it past our military singers who like it. Unless something brilliant is suggested for changes, this is "Ms". It will be debuted at this years BuffettFest
M’s
The Anaconda Mortar Song ©
(with sincerest apologies to Jimmy Buffett and Fins)
They came from American cities
Took ‘em 2 days on a plane
Lookin’ for Saddam and Bin-Laden
Hate to leave the kids again
And, now they’re living in duststorms
Taking care to look for sharks
They hang out by the roadside
And they stay there till after dark
Can’t you see ‘em circlin’, buddy
Can’t you feel ‘em schoolin’ around
They’ve got M’s to the left, M’s to the right
Til Apaches cut ‘em down.
Oh-ho Oh-ho
They’ve got M’s to the left, M’s to the right
Til the Blackhawks cut ‘em down.
Preserving ideals of freedom
With an eye on that returning day
Maybe roll some insurgent soldiers
Somewhere down Afghanistan way
But they miss the change of seasons
Need something to lighten the load
Fight with spirits high as the months go by
Getting e-mails from loved ones at home.
Can’t you see ‘em closin’ in , buddy
Can’t you feel ‘em schoolin’ around
They’ve got M’s to the left, M’s to the right
Til the Air Force cuts ‘em down.
Flew to Anaconda
The one-day BuffettFest
Lookin’ for some fun and laughter
To keep their spirits afloat.
Won’t feel like a remora
Because bad guys are close at hand
Behind the wire with big Iraqi teeth
Are the sharks that swim on the land.
Can’t you see ‘em circling, buddy
Can’t you feel ‘em schoolin’ around
They’ve got M’s to the left, M’s to the right
Til Apaches cut ‘em down
Hey
They’ve got M’s to the left, M’s to the right
Til the Blackhawks cut ‘em down.

Hey, Crash?
Anyone told you lately how AWESOME you are? Cuz you are......Thanks again for all you do for our troops, and thanks also for letting us feel the tiniest bit involved. I often feel like the prayers, thoughts, and immense gratitude isn't enough.
Keep up the great work. If not sooner, by next Thursday, I will have some stuff together to send out for the cause.

I'm going to make bookmarks, but I need help.
I'm going to make them the fold-over magnetic kind, like these
http://www.magneticbookmark.com/productinfo.cfm
on the front will be of course this year's logo, I'd like to write something on the back, maybe a little reader's quote, or a message similar to the postcards that Des and Phaw are using..........so, does anyone have any suggestions for this........Please

& Thanks

IS THIS THE SAME AS A MUSIC CD TO COPY??? I am karoke challenged.
Thanks,

I've never done this, but someone pointed out to me that since the words are projected via video, copying to DVD (vs. CD) makes sense.
Anyone else??

What a great idea!
